After reading your post, I realized that this is how I felt after realizing that I wasn't alone, insane, stupid, or crazy!

LaDonna Hankinson | | I know what you mean. I felt stupid for so long and always felt so mis-understood. I tried medicine for a while, but decided I didn't like the side effects. I found flylady.net and she helped me a lot with basic routines. Something she does that helps me so much is doing things 15 min at a time and using a timer. When the timer goes off I check my list to see what comes next. Otherwise I get lost in what I am doing, or wondering from one distraction to the next.
It's fun hearing others share. It's nice to know I am not alone.

We're so glad you're here! Every day I hear from people who say they feel dumb, stupid, etc. Here's something to remember - IT'S NOT YOU!!!
Really, there are 10% of us that just simply do things differently. We talk, think, focus, organize and function in a more creative way than our linear-thinking counterparts.
Yet we've been told all of our lives that we're doing it "wrong". No wonder so many people with ADD have such a low self esteem.
Anyway, we're glad you're here. I love the timer idea - and teach it in my classes too. I don't know what I'd do without it!
