Greg Gibson | | Hello everyone,
I'm new to the forum.
As I'm reading books and listening to tapes. Studing the industry MLM. I notice something interesting.
Tell me if you notice this.
While marketing online is easier than person to person. Yes, I do signup more people and outside of my warm market.
But, it seems like you need to run much higher numbers to find a partner who is willing to work. People are switching programs as fast as the programs are coming online. Is this true?
Also, it seems that people maynot really want to be in business with other people but they are looking for programs or gadgets to do some kind of trick marketing.
My question is this? "Is it really possible to build an online MLM business, online and have long term success without using the telephone to prospect?"
What's your opinion??

Ronald Hunter | | I think you have to build relationships which means talking to people on the phone. RonPrivate Reply to Ronald Hunter |

Tom Beal | | Funny you mentioned this question!
Just 30 minutes ago (from 9-10pm est) I was interviewing Mike Ray, who is a top network marketing producer/trainer who built most of his business (stretching from US to Asia) online.
He narrowed it down to a 3 step system:
1) Capture 2) Cultivate 3) Close
He did go on to say that this is a relationship business so the phone calls and webinars must occur to solidify relationships with prospects & business partners.
You can hear this complete interview on the replay line found in the members area of my free online mlm resource at:

The call with Mike was great....plus you'll gain FREE access to over 5 hours of other interviews with other top trainers.
Hope this helps! Tom Beal Founder MLM-Experts.com
P.S. - He actually is conducting a seminar in Vegas and will also have live online simulcast available. He describes it in the interview.Private Reply to Tom Beal |

Ken Spurgin | | Greg, Ill sum it up quickly...Yes, you do have to build relationships with people (Most people wont buy, unless they feel comfortable) One of the biggest tips I have learned is...focus on the current Network Marketers and MLMers. They are the ones who are in this industy and working it. Your average person doesnt have a clue how this industry spits people out ! If you want amazing success... get to know the people in this industry. Just my 2 cents...

Jayant Patil | | Hi Greg, In my opinion, MLM marketing requires typical attitude and to get like minded people have this typical attitude makes you succeed in MLM business. It is not easy and definatley not possible without making telephone to the prospect.

Robert Attieh | | Hello Greg,
I understand your observation regarding this industry, however this industry is not just a contact sport it is a FULL CONTACT sport.
Being a FULL CONTACT sport, success is in the relationships built through personal one on one contacts and groups contacts through various means.
Is this FULL CONTACT sport difficult? - the answer is NO. The simple steps just need to be followed but in many cases they are not as we see some people don't even want to communicate with their business contacts.

Gary Mialocq, Ph.D. | | I echo Jeffrey. MLM participants are mostly people who want others to do their work for them. Private Reply to Gary Mialocq, Ph.D. |

Ronald Hunter | | Jeffrey, I hope you are not taking anyone's money that is in an MLM in your business. I was looking for a good search engine op company. I guess you would not do a good job for me. RonPrivate Reply to Ronald Hunter |

Ken Spurgin | | Three Cheers for Ronald.
Way to go... And for those of you who think MLMs are a waste of time, or MLMs get other people to do the work for you...should probally talk with some of the successfull people on this network and get their opinions. You might just be suprised at what they say. Or even better yet ask any one who has been successfull in there business whether, on online or brick and mortor, and ask if they "still swing a hammer" or "do the manual labor" portion of that business...Ill bet they say no "thats why I have employees" and "downlines".
