lashed by the whip of deception
wounded by the arrows of lies
the desire to sip the grape vines
and to attain the delirious pleasure takes over
all i want is to get intoxicated
driven to the narrow confines of prison like world
dead yet alive like the flickering fire
and a favourite of the despicable

agony too hard to sustain now
even the royal coloured wine too of no use
i try to thrive on nature's selfless love
lying naked on the land warmed by the swords of sun
my back gets chastised for being born in the heinious world
with cuts and bruises i recieve my due
an apostle smeared balm on my wounds
the balm of holy and kind utterance
sends home the message of love to my heart
an atheist becomes a believer
filled again with hope
mist replaced by unknown warmth
i saw world with clear blue eyes
taking an oath to spread the message of peace love and brotherhood
i write these lines so my brother's across the world
would join hands together in god's court
and be intoxicated by love gaiety and comaraderie

Faridoon Shahryar | | "Swords of Sun"...Mmmmm...That's a great expression...I am glad you can find positives out of the negativity of life...Life is like an onion and one keeps on peeling and there's nothing at the end of it...Better relish it till it lasts...As Poet shelley said...
