01] Never sit with your back to the door or directly in front of it. Sit in such a way that you have a solid plain wall behind you, giving you solid support. If you have a window behind your back, make sure to cover with it heavy curtains. The Spot diagonally opposite the door, facing it, is generally the best place to locate oneself.

02] Always keep the toilet seat down and the doors of toilet unless advised by a qualified Feng Shui Practitioner & the Bathroom/Toilet Door always closed.

03] Remove all clutter immediately. Clutter is any thing you have not used in last six months; of course, it does not include your Holy/Reference books, etc.....

04] Keep the Dustbin lid always covered.

05] Replace/Repair any leaking water taps. [A leaking tap means wealth going down the drain].

06] Repair/Replace/Sell/Junk, any non working or damaged clock, electrical items like Switches, Wiring, Cassette Tape Recorder, Radios, Shaver, Toys, Gadgets, Light Bulbs, Oven, Microwave, Toaster, Hairdryer, etc.

07] Donate/Junk any, not in use, non-working items or old Shoes, Chapals, Shoes, Old Clothes, Hair Clips/Brushes/Combs, Utensils, Books, etc......

08] Remove/Replace any mirror, glass, cutlery, which has cracked, broken or whose coating has chipped off. It brings bad luck [negative Qi].

09] Keep the paint work fresh, have it repainted/repaired immediately if it is peeling/flaking or has water seepage marks & also keep the windows always clean.

10] Avoid dark and/or heavy contrasting colour scheme. Pastels tints/Whites are always a safe bet. *Stay away from Red & Yellow Colours.

11] While sleeping, make sure that your body is not reflected in any Mirror or shiny surface. If it does one, will not have sound sleep & will have health problems.

12] Do not hang Wind Chimes inside your house, without consulting a qualified Feng Shui practitioner, as It Will Do More Harm Than Good.

13] Never keep your Laundry to dry outside in the balcony at night.

14] Avoid using a Box Bed as you may wake up having a Backache/Tiredness/Ill Health. Instead, it is better to have a regular Bed with four legs so that Qi [Chi/Chee] is able to circulate freely under the bed.

15] Do not build a Swimming pool or a Water Fountain just about anywhere in your, Housing Society /Bungalow plot/House/Factory/Office, etc..... without consulting a qualified Feng Shui Practitioner. As Water in a wrong place may bring misfortune and illness.

16] Do Not Keep Swords, Hunting Knives [except the ones used in the kitchen], Guns, or any type of stuffed animal, or any paintings, photos of ferocious animals.

17] Check & see to it that all the Shutters/Doors/Windows, open and close smoothly without any force. Have them repaired immediately if they are not functioning properly.

18] See to it that the area leading to and from all the doors, particularly your main door is neat, clean and free of all obstructions, clutter, etc....., the Qi/Chi must be able to move freely.

19] *Feng Shui is about placing the Right Cures, at the Right Place, at the Right Time, in the Right Proportion and Removing or Relocating them at the Right Time. There is no such thing as a perfect Feng Shui house.

Beware of Feng Shui practitioners or People who do it as a Hobby: Who do not ask for the Buildings construction completion date. Who talk about Wealth Corners, Carrier Corners, Relationship Corners, etc.....[It does not work, it is Pseudo Feng Shui]. They are doing more harm then good.

Disclaimer

Feng Shui is only one of the many influences on a Human Life, there are so many other influences on: Health, Destiny [past karma], Genetics, Nutrition, Stress, Relationships, Exercise, Man Luck [present karma], Environment [nature], A Mans will [how one behaves/conducts himself], etc.

How could Feng Shui possibly explain all of these? This is why the professionals study TCM, Vaastu, Palm/Face Reading, I-Ching, Martial Arts, Qi Gong and Cultivation, Astrology, Four Pillars of Destiny [Chinese Astrology], etc..... Each can reveal things others may not.

Many of the mainstream [coffee table] books lead many beginner/reader to believe that All I have to do is fengshui my house/business and the money will roll in. Unfortunately, this is certainly not the case.

If a particular problem is feng shui related, then a house audit may produce dramatic, even instantaneous, results. If not..

The information on Feng Shui and Vastu, in these series of articles, readings [audits/consultations] and other services is ancient wisdom handed down by our ancestors, our teachers, our gurus and have been in use throughout the Orient and the world for many years.

Hi Hema,

A laughing buddha wearing red robes and holding an ingot or sitting on coins is a very lucky Feng Shui image.

You can easily replace it by a Santa Claus or a Ganesha.
Its the smiling face that's important.

Placing this idol in the North West of your house or room e.g. office space should bring good luck.

Coins and Chimes express Metal Energy and are best placed in the West or the Northwest of the house or the specific room.
Coins energize any water element that you have in the North.

Three gold chinese coins tied together with a red string or ribbon to represent fire energy are perfect. You can also use all -metal wind chimes (we often get them with a wooden top), metal vases or bowls or even place your metal stereo equipment in the sector of the house to activise the metal energy.

These are to answer your queries...
Feng Shui is a very detailed knowledge,
Cant be explained in brief, so apologies for the long blah blah

Regards,
Lavannya

Raajeish -

Thank you very much for the tips.

For the past 5 years, I have been doing my best to use Feng Shui in my daily life. Sometimes, though, there are unavoidable situations that life throws you. Fortunately, Feng Shui can address all of them!

Oh this is refreshing and great tips, Raajeish, THANK YOU.

This week a Ryze friends shared with me how she came up with her performance goals, and part of it was selecting a correctly auspicious number as a challenge goal. That was the first it occured to me to Feng Shui goals, and I found it fascinating.

Cheers,
Dawn

Althea Garner

Rajesh,

I LOVED your post!

Perhaps you can help me..... I am looking for a method to 'cleanse' my home. I had a Feng Shui friend who used to do this for me but she moved away and we lost contact.

I am reluctant to ask 'just anyone' because as you say, they can do more harm than good!

All I remember is that oil and salt were involved.

Although I have no 'issues' with my home or relationships, I believe that regular cleansing is a good thing (right?)

I'd appreciate it if you could PM the the 'recipe'!

Thanks in anticipation!
