Chandrashekhar | | It's available in Bombay now since long.
Most of the good wine shops like Peekay. (VT) and the wine shop down the road from Mulund Nirmal Lifestyle.

IAN PEREIRA (Advtg and Industrial Photographer) | | It's good but not as good as the good old square bottle.
Just see what happened to Chandra after drinking Gold (see picture above)

iitiim | | I asked arnd. was told the price isnt too diff from the regular and the guy i asked told me the taste sucked. He like Ian prefers the good old old monkee to the gold.
tell me guys...is there an easy way to find out if the old monk being served is nakli? I've been drinking at some shady places off late (with tax being deducted and all!)and i hate the kind of hangovers i get the next morning...even though i have just 2 pegs of OM. never had that problem with wineshop OM or at a decent joint. Is there anything i should look for? color / smell? Advice please.Private Reply to iitiim |

IAN PEREIRA (Advtg and Industrial Photographer) | | The Gold does suck. It is too refined.
Tips on how to find out whether the Rum is genuine. Refer to the Comrade homepage.

# # | | Gold is aged 12 years is sold in a tall bottle (tallboy from now on). Is from the same house (Mohan Meakins etc).
Taste is sweeter than the 8 years old variety sold in stubby (that's the square bottle). And the colour is red when in the bottle and redish orange when in a glass and mixed with water.
It surfaced sometime last year.
It disappointed me. And gave me a hangover.

Excellent stuff...if i may say so.
Ian...henceforth please arrange to have at least 1 or 2 bottles of OM GOLD at the comrade mixxas.

Fitzgerald Fernandes | | Hey Guys (and Dolls)
Regarding Rummixxxa, men. Think we need to pile onto that bugger Ian, men. It's his birdday on 9th July, men. Moved into new flat as well, men. Owes us one helluva party, don't you think so........men? Birdday and housewarming combined in one men. On the house, men. What you all saying, men?
P.S. Is this Old Monk Gold Stuff somewhere in between the regular Om and the OM Reserve one used to get some time back? Or is it OM Reserve repackaged? Reserve used to be quite good, men. May have renamed it to avoid the confusion with Bacardi Reserve, men.
P. P. S. Will attend next Rummixxxa if someone can do me the favour of picking me up and dropping me back. Been reduced to a langda for some time, men. No end to predicament in sight, men. Any good Samaritans out there, men?
OM Regards to all, men, Cheers

The wine shop next to Rustoms in Colaba. (they deliver home, heh, heh, heh).
P.K. (or is it Peekay) Wines at Crawford Market.
The wine shop opposite Nirmal Lifestyles in Mulund
