| The Strategic Marketing & Planning Network is not currently active and cannot accept new posts | | Views: 535 | Mar 30, 2006 3:55 pm | | | # | Jerry Bader | | Since this network is all about marketing, I thought the members would be interested in the new website we've launched, http://www.136words.com. The premise behind the website is that businesses should be able to explain to vistors why they should be customers in no more than 136 words.
Useability studies tell us that website visitors are frustrated by not finding the core message of a website - it isn't about how fast or slow a website loads, but rather how fast a serious prospect understands what you can do for them.
With broadband gaining market penetration it is now feasible to deliver those 136 words in audio that avoids the pitfalls of website visitors penchant for skipping and scanning information that is hard to read and harder to digest.
The 136Words© website provides visitors with instructions, guidance, and samples of how marketers can incorporate audio on their websites, email campaign landing pages, and digital presentations in order to deliver their marketing messages. Visitors to the website can choose to listen to the entire presentation rather than read it and serious marketers can have their 136 words auditioned by professional voice-artists.
I hope the network members find the site of use and would be happy to receive any feedback.
