Assuming you have a product or service that you feel sure that people wish to buy and have no time or love of cold calling and other tacky friendship losing methods of sales messaging consider using your friendly and oh-so-cheap postman.

It’s called a Postman’s Walk and I have just helped a young seamstress set up her own clothing alteration’s business using this method.

The very cool thing with the Postman’s Walk is that you can pick your customer profile from the post office demographics and only pay to deliver to that client.

For instance we wanted older wealthy clients living in middle to high-end high-rises, because lack of space and high disposable income would make them the best possible prospects for her service.

So we made up 1000 nifty flyers highlighting the benefits of her service, went to the post office website, picked out our target area and delivered the flyers to the local post office for delivery to our target market.

The flyers cost 10 cents each to deliver, so for a little over a hundred dollars, or the price of a coffee lunch at Starbucks we get our flyers delivered in with the regular mail where it gets attention.

We received 10 calls and 4 of them are now clients, which with this type of service business means repeat business.

So our cost is 25 dollars per new repeat client… and even better… ZERO PROSPECTING TIME!!!

Cheers

Robert

Robert, have you used the post card snail mail angle? I know that costs more but I'm wondering if it's worth it.

I'm still trying to find my niche. I have a number of various articles, web sites, exposure in e-zines, a novel that has received good reviews, etc but just haven't found the best way to market any of it yet.

I am a psychic but do not do that professionally nor do I advertise it however, my 'Be A Group Leader and Travel FREE' downloadable e-book should get some takers. Any advice?

My novel is metaphysical--my travel ebook is useful and my Essence of me, inspirational. HELP!

Tks,
Mary Mc
BTW--you need to check out a small growth on the right side of your back. Nothing serious but it could become so. Keep an eye on it!

Namaste,
M Mc

Mary,

Have you tried selling your ebook or novel on Ebay? Just an idea.

No, I've not tried e-bay. It seems so huge and awesome, I've been shy about trying it.

BTW--your Ryze guestbook is not available.

Thanks for replying. I'll look into e-bay.

The cool thing about the postman is that a inexpensive one-side black and white or black on colored paper works just as well as an expensive brochure and you can test your response rate by varying your wording.

We got a 10 percent results rate which is fantastic.

A few improvements in the phone answering procedure and our 4 new clients would have been 6.

We have made a few changes and will post out another 100 flyers next week expecting another 4 to 6 clients.

P.S. To Mary Mc:

Good call! I do have a new growth on my back, however it is my car, which has grown from a little import to a huge Lincoln Town car.

Also your book, suggest you change title and hit the internet radio stations.

Cheers

Robert
