Don't give up at halftime. Concentrate on winning the second half
Dear old friends,

Hope you guys remember me.. Gokul Raman who was once an active member (only in the net!) in WCFC.. Now settled in B'lore. Internet creates myriad possibilites in unprecedented ways- True for online enthusiasm.

Have been reading the great Soebji's and Govind's post only to look at the mirror and say I could'nt make a difference.
Corutesy- Personal life!! Disgrace!
But anyway, I got the below article by mail which I thought will do good to Chennai.(if the below msg is true)

"Just Do it"- Soebji- Is there a time leaking machine thru which we can go to the past??

It's your time
It's your day
It's never too late
To change lanes
How's your life?
How's your place?
Was it where you wanted
Your head to lay?
But wait, you can breathe
You can see what I can see
Don't waste your time
You can't make back
If you could rewind your time
Would you change your life?
Do you like you?
Do you love your wife?
Or did you pick what
You're told was right?
Dream and be
What you feel
Don't you compromise
What you wanna be
'Cause change is okay
What's the point in staying the same
Regrets, forget what's dead and gone
If you could rewind your time
Would you change your life?
If Jesus rode in on a camel today
With your cross on his shoulder
Time to take you away
Have you done all you wanted?
Are you happy and warm?
Do you miss someone special
You don't see anymore?
Have you blood on your hands?
Do you dream of white sands?
Can you sleep well at night?
Have you done all you can?
The place I was born in
Stays crooked and straight
I see innocent blue eyes
Go blind everyday
Rewind your time
Would you change your life
Today?

Take care mates.

We've been dreaming on so many things for so many years and nothing has come true. Indian Politics in the hands of EDUCATED YOUTH!!! And these guys are cream students of our country (IIT). Let's believe that these guys will make a change. WE can easily win this election if we Raise our hands for them. Take these stats, there will be at lest 3 and up to 7 People with every home; think how many college going students live in India, how many IT professionals, BPO professionals, other professionals live and calculate the number of people who they live with. If they join together and raise their hands, can't WE win?

Are you patriotic? Do u really want to do something good for the nation? Or You want to be in the group of people who keep on complaining about the system and the political party....

Here is a chance to choose between two.... Its a party started to do good for the public what the other politicians have failed to do. Lok Paritran is contesting for Tamil nadu, Kerala and Pondicherry elections. The party has started its awareness program by distributing pamphlets.

That's great, Gokul, to put your presence back again in WCFC.

Well, WCFC is still on the prowl to identify hands-on implementers of plans. We had identified quiet a few plans to pursue, but couldn't do anything concrete. That led to my lamenting that the net has a lot of idea-churners, but not hands-on volunteers to implement even 1% of what is planned. Hmmmm..... My faith to find a few is yet to wane off, which is why I am still hanging on with Ryze.

Do put in your appearance now and then, Gokul. And do let me know if you come across the ones, who are irritated, agitated and less patient with board room discussions.

Do send me a PM giving your contact numbers. I will definitely say a "hello" to you soon.

Cheers!

before even investing a few minutes in examining the persons and their intentions we need a fulfilment of requirements from them - a form of prequalification to be allowed to talk to us at all . . . . . .

will they FIRST publicly declare:

1) to respect and uphold the Constitution which permits any Citizen of India in good standing to hold any public electoral office without prejudice to caste, color, creed, religion, ethnicity, language, education, wealth, gender and belief?

2) and state their position on nuclear non proliferation and policy?

3) their stand on subsidies to economically underprivileged persons and families and their proposed measures for mitigation of poverty?

4) their stand on historically underprivileged persons and families (individually and communally) and their proposed measures for mitigation of social injustice leading to economic and cultural disparity?

5) their willingness to resolve and proposed road map to end all internal (interstate) and external (North East and North) border disputes?

6) their willingness to resolve and proposed road map to mitigate insurgency and terrorism at local and global levels?

7) their commitment and proposal for environmental and ecological issues at local and global levels?

8) their concrete proposals to create state funded unemployment dole, superannuation and retirement securities, social security for the infirm, the aged, and differently challenged sections of society and humanity?

9) their concerned stand on basic values and issues pertaining to addiction, substance abuse, obscenity, vulgarity, family values, social reform?

10) their commitment that they will respect individual and community rights above majority privileges and therefore not force any civil, family and personal code on citizens either through legislation or by ordinance as enshrined in the constitution and guaranteed by moral at the time of formation of the Union?

People's Alliance for Good Governance (PAGG) calls upon all voters to exercise their invaluable democratic right without fail and choose the cleanest candidate regardless of political affiliations. Good reputation, credibility and clean background are the main criteria for a clean candidate. If there is none, register your negative vote under rule 49-O at the polling booth.

(Rule 49-O of the Conduct of Elections Rule 1961 contains
the provisions regarding electors deciding not to vote).

For the sake of Good Governance please forward this message to your contact addresses in Tamil Nadu. Before forwarding type your name with address and service organization, if any, to which you belong. Add pagg482@gmail.com to your contact addresses for final compilation of signatories to this appeal.

(Promoted by Swachid Movement, PAGG is registered as NGO dedicated to community service. Among its main objectives is to ensure good governance at all levels. Since its inception in January 2005, PAGG has enrolled nearly 50,000 members in over 3,000 centres in the districts of Tamil Nadu).

It's election time in our state and wherever you go, the mood is the same. Debates within family members as to who will come to power..

However, over the past three months or so, there are a couple of other parties that have joined the fray, most notable among them being the Lok Paritran about whom enough has been said and written!! Their campaign managers have been telling us to vote for them because they promise change! And eradication from corruption. They don't promise insane stuff like color TV's, 3 gms gold in Mangal sutr'(Thaali) and rice for Rs.2. Which is great!! It's a refreshing change from the verbal wars that the two Dravidian parties have resorted to! Karunanidhi on one hand says Jayalalitha claims to be working 20 hours a day and appeals to the voters to give her some rest from the 8th of May, not for her benefit, but for the benefit of the party. Jaya on the other hand blames the centre (of which the DMK is a part) for not having assisted the government enough during the tsunami and the rains last year.

Some colleagues of mine are involved in the campaign for Lok Paritran. So, I asked them, why should one vote for the Lok Paritran. The answers I got were many, ranging from the young and enthusiastic party, to the educated people, to the IIT brand.

As of now, after saturday, all the political parties will have their fates decided by the voters of this state!

I hope experiments like Lok Paritran succeed in the longer term....

Also guys for If you dislike all the candidates in your consituency..

U have another choice - '49 o'.

the "Forty Nine O " is as follows

"In a particular constituency, if a voter dislikes all of the candidates competing there, then he can show his dislike to all of them by registering for 49’O. This option is available since 1960.

Steps for doing this:
1. While registering the name at the time of voting, convey to the booth officials that “I want to go for 49’O”.

2. Register your signature in the 49’O form available there.

Now, if the number of 49’O count is larger than that of the winning candidates total vote count, then a re-election is called there."

Honeslty this is the first time I am hearing abt 49 O. what a shame!
None of the election officers have communicated this to the citizens. Nor have we heard of them in TN/Radio.
(I might be wrong here as I surely have'nt come across this 49' O- It sounded like a bus no or some kind of temparature reading that states the votes are heated up to me initially!)
I request and urge you all to vote for Lok Paritran.(hey... not a campaign!) Though their coming to power is highly unlikely owing to the false camapaings by the existing dumb parties and stupid poor people confiding in these demons, let's alteast give it a shot.

To me both DMK and AIADMK members should be nailed to death. I happened to watch some of their campaigns, its nothing but a personal abuse against each other.
I don't have any doubt that very little will be done by both parties after the election.
Hence exercise your vote judiciously.

Have a great long weekend!..and sad enough, I am not having a great weekend, at work after a long time on a saturday; and can somebody vote for me? LOL!
