Does anyone have any suggestions on some of the best ways to target my customers? My customers are single parent familys and small business owners. We do foreclosure prevention and basically negotiate with banks on our client behalf to reinstate their mortgage. www.GlobalLossprevention.com

If you want your website to target your market you are going to have to do some work on it Walter.

First it is on a free hosting service.
If you cannot afford the 5 bucks or so a month to host a registered domain name, your visitors are not going to think much of your business.

Second, as it is hosted on a free service the site is done in frames.
This will reduce your chances of getting the site listed on search engines to zero.
Visitors can only bookmark the main page.
Search engine traffic will account for over 85% of referrals, you have to get this part right.

You need to do some SEO on the site.
Shorten up the main page and move content to secondary pages.
This will give you more of a chance for good listings.
You will also need to do some search engine term research to find out what the most used keywords pertaining to your service.
Compose pages around these keywords.
Keep your meta tags and title tag short. The fewer the keywords used for each page the better the chances of good listings.

While the site states clearly enough what it is you do, there is no personal information.
You need to build trust in your company. If I were going to turn to someone for financial planning you can bet your bottom dollar I would want to know a lot about them.

You do not have one personal contact listed, nor do you show your physical address.
Company email addresses and photos/bios to back up your claims of over 30 years experience would be a necessity.

Hope this helps.

Walter,

Try to get inside the heads of your customers. Why would they be looking for your services? Where would they go to seek out those services? (Don't assume that they're looking for YOU - they could care less about you, they just want the service!)

What sort of questions are they asking? Who are they speaking with? (Those may be the people you should be trying to reach - people who can recommend you!)

How much can they afford to spend for your services? How do your prices compare to those of your competition? For that matter, how do your services compare?

Back to your customers, you need to speak to people who are in need of your services, and who can afford those services, at the time when they are most receptive to the idea of purchasing those services. Perhaps the best way would be if you could have your brochure included with the overdue notice being sent out by a mortgage company. Another possibility is to work with non-profit credit counselling agencies (offer some free seminars?)

Be creative, but base all your ideas on what you know of your customers.
