DREAMS DO COME TRUE

Are you willing to do what it takes to be successful?
Sure the overwhelming answer is going to be yes. However, as the successful ones have discovered, it ain’t easy.
The majority of us are lazy by nature. Not so lazy whereas we become trifling individuals, but lazy as it relates to becoming complacent. Maybe complacency is a better word. We accept our normalcy as a stake hold in life.
Sometimes we look into a make believe window (our technologically advanced televisions) that transport us into more make believe. We see the images in the make believe world and decide we want to emulate them. We want to be rich, beautiful, full of money, and jet set around the world.
Right now, most men in the world wish they were Brad Pitt (and some women too.) But, do you know Brad Pitt’s story? Do you know how he went from the quintessential Midwestern bred boy next door to the sexiest man alive (according to People magazine)?
What about Madonna? Are you aware that she was so determined to become a successful dancer, singer and actress (a triple entertainment threat) that she was so poor that she lived off popcorn while she waited tables in her early days? The money she earned paid her way through dance school.
Notice how sacrifice comes into play. Madonna could have gotten a job in the automobile industry, like many people do who don’t have a dream and live in the Metropolitan Detroit area. Instead, she mentally pictured herself as being the world’s greatest entertainer.
She told herself everyday she would fulfill her dream. And, well, you know the rest of the story.
How about your dreams? Are they fulfilled? Do you still dream?
