Amita | | Dear All,
As we have decided, let us invest some time and effort in this thread so that we all can benefit and take away some learning and useful critique of
- strategies which we have ourselves used in approaching a marketing problem
- ideas/strategies which we have seen others use successfully in their marketing activities
Let me begin with an example since I have it ready and believe it wiill be worth a discussion.
It is appended below...

Amita | | Hi Aditya, good points...
the activity level is fairly decent... in fact, the number of unique visitors is up from the 70,000 mark and has crossed the 1 lac number!!
about switching, we dont have information... very difficult to capture... but there is a programme planned to send samples to those individuals which we can tap thru this site...Private Reply to Amita |

manoj gupta | | Great work, I think strategy’s specially when applied for the marketing purpose is about constant up gradation or alteration, by which I mean today market forces are very dynamic and the strategy decided toady might needs some correction or addition when its get implemented, Well the above was my opinion not the theory In your case what will be more interesting to know will be after crossing 1Lk mark, after few months is still the same or now its around 60K mark, Will wait for your update manoj Private Reply to manoj gupta |

Amita | | Hi Manoj, good to see some discussion here.
The website was launched close on the heels of the market launch of the product... Naturally, the build curve for the registrations etc will be quicker in the initial stages and as the site is new.
The objective was to build a community: We expected and achieved repeat visits from the audience over the past few months.
The site will probably be moved on to the company server over a period of time since sustaining it is a cost; without a revenue model in place it will be a cost which the brand will not pick up(yet) :)
So over a period of time we will expect the visits to dwindle and rate of new registrations to take a dip...
I hope I have been able to clarify some of your queries...

Cijaye DePradine | | Great job Amita,
And great questions and feedback everyone else.
Just out of curiosity Amita, what is the conversion ration on a site like this betwee your unique visitors and opt-ins? And what did you do to encourage opt-in?
