Hollywood & Politics was created as a portal into a place where people can virtually get together & chat about concepts that are part of all of our lives. No matter in what part of the globe we live, if we're technically aware enough that we're on the 'net, Hollywood has affected us. And there's no way to deny that Hollywood has affected politics of the world. Mix those together and we have a great platform upon which to build fantastic conversation!
I'd like to try a few beginning themes. I hope you all will participate. At Glenda Lowery's excellent suggestion, I've unmoderated the forum in an effort to draw in more folks. As long as everyone's respectful of each other, this should stay the norm. I'd like to ask everyone, if they've not already done so, to post about themselves. Even if you're "shy," post your name, the area of the world in which you live, & why you joined this forum.
After that, let's see how this works for a few weeks:
Sundays: New Member Hello -- "newbies" post about themselves. Also, let's use Sundays to talk about our lives, families, what's important to us that might not directly relate to politics.
Mondays: Who's your favorite classic actor? Why? Was he/she political? If you don't know, I'll help you find out.
Tuesdays: Who's your least favorite TV actor? Why? What do you know about his/her politics?
Wednesdays: Free-for-All - As people get to know each other, they tend to share their lives. Let's take a breather.
Thursdays: Current Events & Celebrities Involved -- Who's saving the world today? Who's trying to ruin it?
Fridays: Communism and early Hollywood -- I'll post events that happened in this timeframe. Let's discuss.
Saturdays: What are your goals for the next week? Professional? Personal?
I'd REALLY appreciate any advice, suggestions, general input. Let's take the past, put it together with the present, and see what might happen for the future . . . all with a backdrop of the world of entertainment and its fascinating personalities!
