Who's Your Least Favorite TV Actor? Why?Views: 919

Hello Folks:

I've been outta town . . . down da by-YOU w/family. Back now & working to drum up business here. Who's gonna be brave enough to post, eh?!

I'd have to say my least favorite TV actor, & actually film, as well, would be Charlie Sheen. He's definitely politically active, but that's certainly not the turn-off. I think there are more palatable ways to get one's opinieon across, especially when the canvas upon which we paint is as far-reaching as the screen & tube. He's out-of-the-box, without ever even thinking he should address the box.

All that said, I did like him playing the Prez on TV. I don't know if that says something about his great acting, or something about my disagreeing viewpoints on him.

Anyone else?

Well, I'm certainly with you on Charlie Sheen (to me he seems "oily") but my reasons are always purely...what .... instinctive?

I cannot enjoy a person's work if I find out they're a slime bucket...for lack of a better term.

So, for me, an actor I used to love and now refuse to support is Woody Allen. I can't help it. A child predator is just not someone I wish to encourage. The evidence is overwhelming...he married her! So I'm not going on just gossip. And as an adoptive mother, this just makes my stomach turn.

I know he isn't strictly TV but he has been on some shows as a stand up, etc.

I don't remember Charlie Sheen ever playing the President on TV. I do remember his father Martin Sheen playing in a role where he was President, and I thought he did an outstanding job. I don't think Martin Sheen has ever played a role I didn't like.

As far as Woody Allen, just his looks is enough to turn me off. LOL I never saw a movie he made that I liked, to be honest I think I only saw two and that was enough. It seemed to me either his character or that of his leading lady or both, always were in bad need of professional mental help. When he had an affair with the adopted daughter of his wife, that pretty much sealed that the man is crazy in my book.

I always wanted to be somebody;
I guess I should have been more specific

Ah, you're right. I stand corrected (actually, I'm seated right now). It WAS Martin, not Charlie. I was thinking Martin & typing his son's name . . . big typo, there.

I follow thru on this. Martin Sheen played the president on TV, for seasons, on THE WEST WING.

That was a fascinating show . . . & talk about mixing Hollywood & Politics!! It took it all to a different level. I worked for the federal gov't, at a high level, for a number of years. My agency continued to operate at the pleasure of the president. My husband still works there. It's a completely different world inside that realm & though I don't think the TV version was really accurate in many ways, the intensity & non-stop activity, as well as the "handler" status, was rather well-done.

Hollywood & Politics -- we're seeing it mesh more & more!
