Just joined FFTP Network & wanted to say "hello." I'm a writer, 4 books currently published, & I JUST this afternoon rec'd amazing news: my 5th book, which I've been peddling a looooong time, rec'd a green light for publication. It's a biography of Golden Era film star, Robert Taylor, & his involvement in the "communism-hunting" 1940s House Un-American Activities Committee meetings.
It's hard to explain the feeling that overcame me when I read the e-mail that said, "We are going to publish your book." It's an almosts-childlike sense of wonder so overwhelming that I want to hold onto it forever.
For reasons Marilyn understands, I have to say "thank you." I just started your lessons yesterday, fercryinoutloud! Am I taking the speed course?!
Blessings -- Linda

Congratulations, Linda!
Yes, FFTP IS the speed course :-) There are no "coincidences" around here. The Universe is always on time! And you just hold onto that sense of wonder 'cause this is only the beginning.
Just thought I'd let everyone know that Martin and I have hired Linda to write the synopsis for "Slice of Heaven". The synopsis is required material to include with a book when presenting to the entertainment industry.
I could not ask for a more appropriate writer for us, given Linda's "Hollywood" sensibility and her wonderful way with words. I posted on a writer's network and Linda arrived out of the blue in perfect timing.

Thx for the warm welcome . . . a very thoughtful, perceptive group! I'm going to enjoy being a part of it.
I've started reading Martin's book. VERY well written, engaging, just the kind of story that draws in the reader from the get-go. Bios/autobios are, to me, about the best reading we can do. To look into the heart & soul of another human, maybe get insight into how they dealt w/problems &/or joys -- possibly problems &/or joys similar to some we've dealt with, & others so very different as to be intriguing & insightful by virtue of their uniqueness -- well, there's no better way to become more understanding of our communities, our world . . . & ourselves.
Blessings -- Linda
