I just posted this short article to my blog "Broadband Nation". Provides some insights and background on IP PBX plus some resources you may find useful.

Michael, are you living in the past or something? A quote from your article:

"IP PBXs are usually NT servers with telephony software and voice cards."

NT servers? You've gotta be kidding!

NT????

I'm not sure it's even supported anymore!

Can be on Linux or Win 2003/200 servers, working as the communication hub, for the SIP to handshake.

One of the reasons that I stopped using this board is the information sometimes is either old - or wrong

Another reason I stopped using the board is the advertising that goes on here by some of the members

All the Best

So help us out, Steve. If the info is incorrect or out-of-date, then mention it, as Ira did. If the posts are too much like advertisements, tell me.

Personally, I don't mind people soliciting for help, or employment.

Be part of the solution - this network is only as good as the people in it.

I do not think NT is supported either. It would be a minor miracle if it is. I am back from a small sabbatical that I took. It was much needed. I think the new leader of this network is doing great and has my support in keeping this network great.

Ira my hats off to you for what you accomplished in establishing this network of professionals.

I stop reading this forum because of all the ads like the ones mike puts in - I just stopped by to see if anything has changed

saw that nothing had changed - so I dropped my two cents and went on my merry way

all the best

Ads? Get a grip Steve. That's an old broken record way out of tune. There's no advert here. Your arrogance and baseless accusations passed annoying long ago. It's just plain sad now.

Steve,

There are not advt. And even if there, you have the mouse to click and move on.

Focus on matters that are technology discussions, that it.

Trying to be helped is not advt.

Best Wishes,
Ray
