Lesson 13 - The Events Page
Ryze provides a useful list of events being run by or supported by Ryze members. Some of these events are run by official Ryze representatives who have been given permission (under contract) to use the name, Ryze. Not all areas have Ryze events, so check for one in your area.
Other events are many and varied and range from profit/non-profit making to educational, sporting, religious and dating.
What is the difference between using the Events tab and those events that are shown on the Ryze Home Page? The Events tab will display events in all areas, whereas the Ryze Home Page displays only events in your area. I find The Home Page to be very useful because events are within commutable distance to my base. I would use the Events Tab, though if I travel out of my area and want to see what's going on at my destination.
Don't judge an event by the number of attendees displayed on the Ryze invitation - very often these events are well supported by non-Ryze members and you could increase your Sphere of Influence by attending.
If you are sent an invitation to an event, please do respond, even if you plan not to attend - it's just common courtesy. On the other hand, if you are hosting an event, please don't use Ryze to Spam - contact only those people with whom you have a valid connection. An easy way to see whether you have a pre-existing connection with a member is if your PM will come off your allocated number allowed for that month. Once you are connected to a member, the counter does not show.
Happy Ryz'ing! :) ALTHEA GARNER ... (First Team Real Estate) http://www.altheagarner.com Remember... I am never too busy for your referrals!
