Maryann Caravaglia
Hello, you are the first network I have joined.
I just joined Ryze today.

I have an online Bridal Magazine that concentrates on the
current trends in weddings.

I would appreciate any advice you can give me on publishing an online magazine.

My main problem is getting the magazine out there to
brides. How can I get cost effective marketing for
my magazine on the internet.

I really appreciate any information you can give me.

Thank You

Maryann

Anne, one of my friends, recommends

Create a lens at Squidoo like this:

http://www.squidoo.com/food_wine/

Create a page in MySpace with ideas for brides:

http://www.myspace.com/ehmercopywriter

She learnt the trick from her mom's group, mammasource.com, they have a portal page at MySpace to csll for the attention of other moms.

Use co-registration. Look for non-competitor newsletters targeting the same kind of people and offer to exchange advertisments.

Write articles and send them to other newsletters.

For instance, if you write something about brides and food: how to chose the perfect menu for the wedding, how to choose the best wines, what kind of wedding cake, etc. I would publish it at our newsletter.

Good luck!

Hello Marta,

Thank You for your advice. I've heard of My Space but I have never been to the website. I will visit it and take
your advice.

I never heard of Squidoo, I will check out that website
also.

Maybe I could write an article on the latest trends in
wedding cakes in the USA. But I'm not sure if that
would interest your readers. Do you think it would?

Thank You

Maryann

Yes, they would. We have a 1000+ subscribers and, to our surprise, about 35% of them are young ladies cooking for almost the first time. We had a forum -we closed because we did not have time or the technology to deal with the impressive amount of spam we were receiving- and the most popular request was icings and cakes for bridal showers. I guess they would be interested in bridal cakes.

You can always reach me through the contac form at http://www.all-foods-natural.com

Hi Maryann,

Welcome to the cafe and Ryze. You ask a great question about getting in front of your ideal subscribers.

I've always found that "hanging out where your ideal subs hang out" is a great strategy. So, in your case, in addition to the advice you've already gotten about squido, etc., look for forums and blogs and other interactive on-line communities for brides-to-be. Then, get involved! Answer questions that folks post, inquire if sites are looking for content, and so on. Don't just spam them with promos for your ezine, rather offer valuable content, advice, etc. and make your signature your promo.

Sadly, 'if you build it, they won't necessarily come', but, if you begin to get yourself recognized AND build it at the same time, folks will start paying attention to you.

So, learn where your ideal subs hang out, and join the party.

Hope this help,
lisa

Hello Marta Zuazo

I'm sorry it took me so long to return your message, I was out of town a couple days.

I will work on the latest trends in wedding cakes article as soon as possible. It will take a lot of research.

Please give me a least a week. If you don't hear from
me by next Sunday, please remind me of the article.

I will also place the article in my magazine on the
latest wedding trends.

I just have so much to do, I have 3 internet businesses plus I work part time locally.

Thank You,

Maryann trendyphotographer

Hello Lisa Micklin

Thank you for your advice.

I have joined several networking groups this week.
2 are mainly Bridal Consultants-I thought they might like
to write articles for my magazine. I joined a bride's
talk group in the UK to learn about the latest trends
in the UK. Several brides are going to have Real
Weddings Articles in my Magazine.

I joined a business women's networking group. I hope
to get a lot of advice from other business women. I may even be able to help some of them through my magazine.

I guess it would be a good idea to join a Bride's talk
group in the USA. I will have to look for one.

Thank You,

Maryann Caravaglia

Hi,

I recommend using online marketing techniques to promote your business. The techniques are very low, once you know how to use them - in fact, the vast majority of techniques I recommend don't cost anything to apply.

Here are some techniques that I recommend:

- Business Blogging. Start a blog for your business and update it on a regular basis. A business blog is an excellent tool to toot your own horn, let the world know about your new products, and tell your target customers why they should do business with you, rather than your competitor.

Start a blog on topics that will be of interest to brides, and use it to communicate with brides and attract them to your blog.

- Search Engine Optimization will be great for your business. Search Engine Optimization is the process of modifying web page content and meta-information to improve the search engine ranking of the page. Successful search engine optimization will greatly increase the number of visitors that come to your web site since over 70% of people who are looking for products and services use search engines to locate them.

Find keywords that are related to your target market and to your products/services. Doing this will help you promote your business to more brides.

- Article Marketing. This is another great way to drive traffic to your web site. Write articles on topics that are of interest to brides, and submit them to article directories,as well as web sites frequented by brides.

I discuss how to use these and other marketing techniques in my FREE Special Report, available at http://www.avocadoconsulting.com/free_report.html.

Thank You for the advice.

I will use your advice on Article Marketing. I already have
several articles I have written about the current trends
in weddings.

Now I will start looking for Businesses Online and off
to ask if they would be interested in publishing them
in their magazines or newsletters.

Thank You]

Hi Marta Zuazo,

I have the article finished on the Wedding Cake
Trends for 2007. I found over 30 trends and ideas for
beautiful wedding cakes.

I just don't know what email address to send it to.

Please email me at centipede1@verizon.net with the
email address I should send it to. It is typed as
a Microsoft Word document.

I'm also putting it in my magazine: Trendy Weddings
Magazine.

Thank You

Maryann
