According to the U.S. Census Bureau, of all American households age sixty-five and older.
#1 - 79% are living under the average american household income.
#2 - 44% are under $25,000 annual income.
#3 - 19% live below the poverty level (two-person household)
This means nearly 80 percent of all American households will end up trying to enjoy the remaainder of their lives on below-average incomes, and just 20% will be scraping along the poverty level. This is a disgracful record for the richest nation on earth. In my opinion this is un-acceptable.
