I have always used self employed agents to work for my business but find that they tend not to be pro-active, they usually just wait for me to give them sales enquiries.
I am considering starting to employee people in key cities (LA, New York, London, Paris etc) on a small salary, perhaps $18,000 per year plus commission that would bring their annual gross income to around $70,000. I think this will enable me to direct them and send them out canvassing for new business - i.e. I'm buying their loyalty and time.
Just so you can understand how we work, go to www.farthingtons.com.
What does anyone think, am I likely to get more business this way? Is there a better solution I should explore?
Thank you
