| 7 Tips to making a Web2.0 Blog Post|
I think, that within the next year, the industry will change.
There will always be newbies that come in and can not tell
the truth from the hype, but I feel that there will be about
a small handful of marketers that will stand out above the
crowd to deliver the best content to their members.
Web2.0 is and will play a huge part in this change.
This is information on how to create and market a blog post
with a Web2.0 twist. There are, of course, several different
ways to market your latest Blog Post. Below you will find
step-by- step strategy for marketing your Blog Post using
Web2.0 sites. Unfortunately these tips only apply to blogs
using Word Press.
1. Your ping has to be in Order:
Check out the recommended ping list at
http://www.seofeed.com/ping-list-for-wordpress/ or you
can use www.pingomatic.com for 17 of the top ping sites.
The first part of marketing your posts starts with your
ping list. Plain and Simple.
2. You must TAG your posts:
Utimate Tag Warrior is a required plug-in for Word Press
( http://www.neato.co.nz/ultimate-tag-warrior/ )
It will allow you to categorize content based on a tagging
engine. Without a doubt, Ultimate Tag Warrior is one of the
most powerful Word Press plug-ins. Each time you make a
post add your keywords as tags at the bottom of the post.
3. TAG Technorati throughout your post:
Tagging Technorati ( http://www.technorati.com/ ) will
keep your post at or near the top of their list. For Example,
this post is about Web2.0 and Blog Posts. Using this
technique is to your advantage at Technorati. There
is a great plug-in called Tagalize-it that makes
tagging throughout your posts very simple.
4. Your Post Has Been Pinged and Tagged Properly,
Well it's now time to Syndicate your Posts. By doing this you can generate some immediate traffic. That's what you want and need... Right? Web2.0 sites come in a number of platforms but the basic 3 are Bookmarking Sites such as Del.icio.us( http://del.icio.us/ ) or they function as
story or article submission sites such ad Digg ( http://www.digg.com/ ) where users can vote on the quality of the story or article, or Social Networks such as Bizzy Blogs( http://www.bizzyblogz.biz/whyleekyotee/ ) where you can display a complete profile and participate in a number of other great features offered with those paltforms.
5. Understanding Syndication and Bookmarking:
Syndication and Bookmarking are extremely important factors.
At Del.icio.us ( http://del.icio.us/ )the more sites that have you bookmarked; the more popular your site is. At Digg
( http://www.digg.com/ ), users submit stories or articles and people vote on whether they like them or not. At Bizzy Blogs( http://www.bizzyblogz.biz/whyleekyotee/ ) and other Social Networks you are selling yourself and people can
vote on the quality and content of your profile page. The more votes a site receives the more prominent it is on that site. Regardless, the users are rating your content.
6. Make your bookmarking Automatic and for FREE:
After you make a post, and ping, there is a service you can use for Free to bookmark your post. The name is Only Wire at
( http://www.onlywire.com/ ). This site will bookmark your
post or site with 15 different services, and it's absolutely Free.
In doing this it will generate 15 BackLinks to your post or site instantly. If you use Only Wire to just bookmark your website they will gain TrustRank and PageRank over time.
7. Start your Story Submissions to the Submission
After making your blog post start submitting your post to each service. There are hundreds of these sites out there. Find the ones which are relevant to your niche market and post to them to get substantial traffic and recognition.
