CedReynolds.com - The Entrepreneurial Pastor | | Do you remember before the internet when you used to call people on the telephone to prospect? Has the internet taken away picking up the phone to connect with likely sources for our business?
I'm amazed at the number of messages I receive from people via email and on in my guest books all over the internet. These are private messages that offer fine products and services and no doubt by fine upstanding people.
I found myself drifting into only connecting with people via the internet. After all it's so easy and non-threatening. But I had to ask myself a question. Am I in business to just be sociable or to assist people with the products I offer? I came to the conclusion that by not picking up the phone to contact people who are willing to receive my online communication, I was doing them a disservice by not calling them.
If you're like most people (including me), you probably don't like making phone calls for whatever reason. Most don't call because of some sort of fear. But when you think about it, what do we have to fear? There's really nothing to fear especially when we're contacting people who already have some connection with us.
I find it most delightful to receive phone calls from people I've met online. I don't end up buying everybody's products or services. But I do buy some and refer an awful lot of people in my network to the friendly, professional networkers who take the time to give me a call. It lets me know that they are not ashamed of their products/services but more than that is they have broken through the barrier of fear.
In closing, is it time for you to pick up the phone again? I know it is for me. So if your phone number appears on your profile and I sense you may have a need for what I offer, you can expect my call. Just know my aim is to be friendly and professional.

Lori Jones | | I have found the best products from people I have met on line. I rarely go purchase from a store anymore. I'd much rather get a referral about a product from someone who truly believes in their product and what they're doing. Lori
