Awaken Your Intuition

We are all connected to the Infinite Mind and thus are privy to all there is to be known. We call this connection with the Infinite Mind our intuition. Everyone has an intuition and everyone uses it to one degree or another. It all depends on what you call it and how receptive you are to using it.

Some people call it a hunch, others call it a gut feeling, while others yet call it “that still voice within.” Whatever you choose to call it, or however you choose to perceive it, you cannot deny its existence. Some people find it warm and comforting while others find it scary, or even frightful.

A few years ago, I was reading Real Magic by Dr Wayne Dyer, and I decided to awaken and connect to my intuition. I was working at the time for a package delivery company and was dispatched to pick up a package from one of our clients. When I notified them of having picked up the package, I was instructed to go “hang” at the designated waiting location in the area which was about 15 minutes away. As I was getting ready to pull out of the parking lot, I had the feeling that I should stay, so I did.

A few minutes later, the dispatcher called and told me to turn around and go back to the same client as they had another package that needed to be picked up. I was excited about my success and made a mental note of recognition and an “atta boy” to myself. When I told the dispatcher about my experience, his exact words were “Man, that’s scary.” I never understood why he found that scary.

Since I found the whole experience exhilarating, I continued to practice awakening and using my intuition. Since then I have read other books on the subject. My favorite is “Practical Intuition” by Laura Day. I have used her techniques for many fruitful events in my life since then, including winning the Football Pool at work, three times in five weeks. I remember being laughed at for picking an expansion team to win in a playoff game, but I won the playoff pool that year.

One of the keys to Manifesting with Natural Ease is taking only the inspired actions, and your intuition is the vehicle through which the Infinite Intelligence sends inspiration. Learn to awaken your intuition and you learn to Manifest with Natural Ease.

Inspired action is the key to get results.:-)). Many do wait for the "right" signals or approvals from others before making a move and don't trust their intution or gut feeling.

I had a recent experience that clearly demonstrates "that still voice within" or intuition as some call it.

Our son was recently driving from college to visit us for the weekend. Not far from our home his car stalled. He couldn't get it restarted so a policeman helped him push it to the side of the road. After we picked him up and returned home it was well after midnight. So, we decided to go to bed and talk about options for getting the car moved and repaired in the morning.

Just as I was waking up a clear thought entered my mind, "call people you know." I told my husband about these words that were clearly spoken in my mind, and he said the name of one of our friends was on his mind when he awoke; so we called him. He was a car mechanic but we thought he was not working in that field anymore. When we called him we found out he still repairs cars at his home to supplement his income. So, he was happy to take a look at our sons car and make the repairs; we just needed to get the car to his house.

We started calling towing services but they were so expensive and the car only needed to be moved a short distance.

Then I reminded my husband about the "call people you know" thought.

So, my husband called a neighbor to see if he, by chance, had a trailer we could use to tow our sons car. He didn't, but he knew who did have one and offered to go get it and help us get the car to the mechanics house. It was all accomplished in less than an hour. INCREDIBLE!

We were amazed at how effortless all of this was. Not to mention the synchronicity of the whole experience. Our sons car broke down "not far from our home." Instead of on the dark, lonely country road he had been driving on earlier. Then the name of the mechanic and how to get the car to the mechanic just fell into place...as though it had all be "pre-arranged."

Our son was concerned about the expense since he is a college student on limited resources. But, the repairs are going to fall well within his ability to pay; especially since he did not have the towing expense.

It was all so natural and easy and was a valuable lesson to all of us to trust and follow that "inner voice."

That's really cool Sheri. It's amazing how a puzzle comes together like that! Hey, just as a side note; how about Tripple AAA for your son in the future? Don't worry though, I get the story. ;o)

Thank you Sherri for sharing that experience with us. Yes, it is always so smooth when you listen to your intuition.

I recently came across something I had written in a notebook a couple of years ago.

"Follow your intuition and you will be rewarded beyond your wildest imagination."

Hi Rasheed,
I stumbled across your network this evening, and decided to join. Intuition can be a GREAT thing!
I think that the strongest sense of my intuition was a few years ago..
It was a normal wednesday evening.. one of my daughters had a softball tournament and was due to be picked up late that evening... normally, I would have let my youngest daughter stay at home and go to bed. Being it was a school night and I would only be gone for a few minutes. ( both girls were in high school at the time).
For some reason... I was having a very strange feeling ALL day, and when the time came, to go to town, I made my younger daughter ride with me and sleep in the car.. Against her liking, mind you...but, she did.
While sitting for the now late bus to return, carrrying the softball team, an announcement came over the radio... A tornado was heading straight for our home. Sure enough... by the time we returned, trees were down everywhere, powerlines were down, and it was eveident that the tornado had gone right above odur neighborhood....
Needless to say... when I tell my daughter that I have a feeling about something... she listens!
My only job is to find a way to turn it on more often.. at will.
Look forward to reading more on this network.
Have a GREAT day!
Linda

Linda,

It is ALWAYS turned on.

Your job is to TUNE into it more often.. at will, and that comes from practice and willingness to be open.

Bina,

There is a difference between instincts, and intuition.

Animals have instincts and since we are animals, biologically, we have instincts too.

But we humans are more than animals or maybe an advanced, more evolved form of animals. We think, and reason. We have the capability to create with our thoughts, not just follow our instincts to survive.

We use our instincts to survive, but we use our intuition to thrive. First you can learn to distinguish between these two things, then you learn to identify which one is one. sometimes our intuitions are in conflict with our instincts. That's when you are given the opportunity to thrive, live beyond the mundane, surpass mere survival and evolve into a higher being.

So yes, there will be times when you will find that following your instincts is not the best course, rather you are prompted to follow a conflicting path prompted by your intuition.

I hope this is somewhat helpful.
