Shalaka Paradkar | | My friend makes this sausage breakfast. Boil sausages and then saute in butter with sliced apples and shredded cabbage. Season with pepper, salt, vinegar and sugar to taste. It's an abso delish combination of flavours. Don't over do the cabbage -- it has to stay crunchy.

George | | Desi style anda bhurji with sliced sausages ( chicken works best ). Sautee the sausage slices with all the stuff you use in the bhurji and then add egg. Makes for a good breakfast with bread. Private Reply to George |

Boil water in a pan with the sausages and the noodle masala. Once the water is boiling well break noodles and add. stir well. add the fried onions and garlic and ketchup. stir well. Make potato roundels about 2mm thick and saute same in a little butter.. once tranluscent, split 3-4 goan sausages/half kg of potato... stir slowly till the roundels are all coated... Beat a couple of eggs with salt and chopped corriander. Pour over the mix and cover.. cook over slow heat till the eggs are firm... serve with bread

Chanchal Roy | | Another one... this one from my wiffy's list.
Take small sized chicken sausages.. roll them in puff pastry sheets (Samosa patti) with a little butter in between and bake them on high for 15 minutes..... actually makes a lovely starter and also kids meal!!Private Reply to Chanchal Roy |

Ashwini Ailawadi | | This is a very basic kerala recepie on how to make sausages. Have never tried it myself but have had the good fortune to taste it a few light years ago and it can be simply delicious. You can either use Beef or Mutton. I had the Beef version myself.
Here it is:
Ingredients:
1. Approximately 250-300 gms mutton or beef very, very finely minced.
2. a couple of small pieces of cinamon
3. 4-6 cloves
4. one quarter teaspoon nutmeg.
5.half a teaspoon black pepper powder, maybe a dash of red chilli powder but only just.
6. a half or three quarter portion of white bread soaked in water and the water squeezed out.
7. 8-10 slices of finely chopped or crushed garlic mixed with 1 teaspoon vinegar
8.1 egg.
9. 1 or one a half teaspoon butter.
Way to Go
Grind the cinamon, cloves and pepper into powder. Take the rest of the ingrediernts(minced meat, bresd, butter) and mix them well with the above. Spread the mix out in a greased plate. The spread should have a thickness of 1 inch. Steam for half an hour or till such time it is steamed properly. When steamed, remove the plate on which it has been steamed and let it cool. In case there is water you can reduce it and spread it over the prepared meat. When it has cooled enough you can roll the meat spread, chop it into appropriately sized pieces, fry and serve.
The rolled meat can also be refrigerated and taken out later.
That's it. If anyone does try it out let me know how it tasted.

Gunjan Sharma | | my fav sausage recipe, used to be a super hit in President Bombay sometimes back is called Honey pepper sausage lyonnaise...
saute onion rings till they are half done...
cut small cubes of sausage and stir the sausage with the hald done onions... add honey and crushed black pepper on top... add salt to taste and cook for a lil while..
the sweetness of honey with the crushed black pepper with the sausage gives it an awesome taste.. Pork sausage recommended. :)Private Reply to Gunjan Sharma |
