A few tips/guidelines for reviewers:
1. Please respond to this message without changing the subject. This makes it easier for the reviewee to spot and keeps the network front page a little tidier.
2. Everybody's great, but nobody's perfect. There's something to like about every page, but there's always room for improvement.
3. There are no right or wrong answers, only opinions. Keep in mind that everything you write is an opinion, and yours is just as valid, but no more valid, than anyone else's.
4. Pointing out problems is helpful, but offering solutions is better. For example, "Your text is too long" is good to know, but "You could probably cut out the section about your dog" is even more helpful. Be specific.
Jeanie Marshall also had some great tips for doing these reviews (http://www.ryze.com/postdisplay.php?confid=586&messageid=2683329), which Scott highly recommends reading before doing your review.
OK -- time to tell Heidi Caswell just exactly what you think in your review.

One thing though...When I click on your links they lead
me away from Ryze and it's hard to get back.

Heidi Caswell | | Paul, we do have similar interests, those interests are part of why I enjoy life.
Out of town, flew out to visit new grandbaby and yes I brought camera, tripod and other gear, more to carry on plane, but I'd hate to be without. Also spending some time hiking in the mountains here before heading back.

Walter, thanks, glad that you like the way my Ryze page looks. I love working with color. I find that if my own pages/websites arenn't visually appealing to me, I tend to not spend much time on them, or it just nags at me, saying fix me. So I keep changing things until it feels/looks right.
When we cut and paste into Ryze without stripping the formatting, like those ' we end up with weird characters. I thought I'd had them all cleaned up, thanks for noticing. Fixed.
Any other suggestions? Things to improve?

I go back and forth on the photo issue. Currently I'm not offering photography as a service I provide, and when I had several photos on my Ryze page, that is all that got noticed, and no one had any idea about my business. (I think what services I provide could use some clearifying on my Ryze page.)
As many of my photos become greeting cards (helps having an easy system to do such), I'm wondering if I can embed a slideshow or something that rotates a few favorite cards/photos. Or just a favorite photo/card of the month. (Encourage repeat visitors.)

I no longer get email alerts for this Network, but decided to check in today and found that your page was recently up for review. So, I just had to review it.
I love your page. It is neat, clear, professional. And elegant. I like your use of color in a self contained area. The page represents you very well.
I read others' comments about photos and so thought of these possibilities. You might do a sampling of thumbnails that are clickable to your photos page. These thumbnails could be on your navigation bar, at the bottom after the Nochols' quote, up under the photo of you (although the latter could not be hyperlinked), or anyplace that doesn't break the current design.
Or, of course, you could put a photo someplace and have the text "see more photos" linked to your photos.
Or, yes, a slide show might work. There are lots of scripts and other ways to create a slide show that I think would be a value added on your Ryze page.
In the end, though, you may decide not to mess with a good thing. I personally have no objection to moving off the Ryze page to explore. You have made all the links to create a new browser window, so returning to Ryze is easy.

I once had photos to go with with navigation links on the left. Liked the way it looks without. Maybe that bottom area. My concern is that whenever I put up photos, they are all that gets noticed. But a slide show towards the bottom could work, if Ryze permits such.
