The annual Christmas festival in Middletown, CA, Saturday, December 1st, is going to be extra-special this year. At least, it will from my perspective. Why? Because some high tech folks are scheduled to participate. Kevin Comora, president of Vizicast Multimedia will be with us. He is an expert when it comes to digital signage - something San Francisco has been using for 15 years. Believe it or not, digital signage is a new idea for most folks here in Lake County. You see, the county's code enforcement rules for digital signage are non-existent. Why? Because the code has not been updated for 20 years! Hopefully, steps will be taken at the festival to change that situation for the better.

Then, there is SlingMedia. A rep from that company is coming to demonstrate how folks can take their home TV signal with them wherever they go. I am sure a lot of folks here are familiar with Evite.com, the online invitation service. Well, there is a new player in that space that includes video in the invitation. That company is called MadeIt.com.

If you live too far from Middletown to attend this event, I want you to know you can still make a difference in the turnout by sending some positive words of encouragement. Either RSVP to the Evite invitation, send me an audio link or both. For details on how the process works, click here.
