 Paula Millar | | Hello,
Thought it appropriate to tell this story about polar bears.
In Canada near Lake Manitoba there was a professional photographer from National Geographic on a journey to photograph an area. So he is out on this lake with his huskies pulling his sled. They camp first night with the dogs all tied down. Out of the white horizon comes a polar bear and he approach the camp. The photographer thought his dogs were toast but a really strange thing happen. The polar bear didn't want to eat ... anything. He wanted to play. He rolled on the ice, laid on his back and tummbled with the dogs with out hurting them. He gave many hugs to the dogs. It lasted an entire week. He came everyday toward the evening. I guess he was more loney than hungry and maybe he was loney because he doesn't have a lot of friends left.
Yup, I think we should save the polar bear too.

Steve Bralovich | | That was a great story Paula..
I'm from Canada too. There are no Polar Bears in London where I live but myself and a few friends have put together a petition to help polar bears at PolarBearPetition.com
Anyone from anywhere can sign it and it will be going out to the Canadian government once we have enough signatures.
There's a link to it on my network and there's blog for it at PolarBearCentral.blogspot.com
There's a free screensaver download there too..

Craig Sulfarro | | Great story. I guess getting back to basics is really where its at. Don't forget the little things in life that make it worth living! A sunset, the sound of nature and kissing and hugging your loved ones.
Best Regards and Success.

That's video's really almost exactly what Paula was talking about. Thanks for point me to it. It shows how social and intelligent polar bears really are.
I have my own polar bear video on YouTube I made to promote the blog.

Not as good as the one you're talking about but the best I could do in the absence of any local bears...
