Well, we had Rick Whats-his-name and the fellow from England who spoke in paragraphs and the black lady Republican. Marla was often contrary and so was I on some issues but probably not the strongest issues.

Who did I miss?

Something tells me they did not change their minds.

I think they got out of the kitchen :)

Those who have remained here are those who have demonstrated a vested interest in knowing the truth, rather than protecting an ideology.

I find it interesting as well that networks overrun by right-wingers have ceased to exist.

Warmly,
Jenny:)

Well, to be fair, some were banned because they resorted to trollish behavior. Only there to instigate, not to have any sort of real discussion. Over the years I feel I've become a lot better at spotting this pattern, so I tend to cut it off faster. In the past it's when I've let things go too long, that the most damage was done.

Others, well, yes if it's hard to face an opinion (or facts in plenty of cases) that really questions your beliefs. The easy thing to do is run.

In other cases there are those who claim to hear what you are saying, but cannot budge from their belief in the slightest. Therefore they drive you to near insanity as you try and try and try and try and try and try and try to show them another view. Or even to just CONSIDER another perspective. That's when things get ugly, and usually causes the other person to just leave rather than just drop it.

So they move to safer grounds, where they do not have to delve too deeply into those issues. Some need to be right, and therefore they go to places where they can keep the appearance.

I honestly am sad at how things have tanked here. I'd love more interaction. But there is still enough traffic that reads the place, so not all my hopes are shattered. People can jump in whenever they feel like they have something to say.

Now James place, on the other hand- wowza! All kinds of stuff going on over there! It's wonderful!! Definitely a lot of different opinions and views. One of my thoughts was to shut this place down and just put a link to his, because at least people are talking over there. :-)

Jenny, that is interesting that all the conservative networks tank. I guess it's hard to keep a place kicking and interacting when all you do is chant "USA! USA!" ;-)

Anyway, just my random thoughts. What do I know?

Dani

The thing is Rodney something funny happens in Truth Seekers we seek the truth.  Now Joe from Dallas bagged himself. It really had nothing to do with him, but had to do with his behavior. And of course current behavior.

Joe made himself a menace to me and others on this board who will remain nameless. Of course as the case unfolds they can drop in at anytime and share their experiences of Joe from CARROLLTON TX. Unwanted this, unwanted that. Unwelcome as hell.

Now here's a funny thing about Carrollton TX and probably even about you Rodney, the sitemeter for Truthseekers doesn't show any Florida visits but it sure does have one from Carrollton.

Now all this looks WAY too familiar to me because I have had quite the visits myself from this location.

So the way I see it we have a problem. A troll and a fake account. Unless Rodney can prove otherwise the proof is here for all to see.

Sure - I was thinking of others less trollish or seeming sincere and the like.

Seems like they just slipped out of the room and left the building, you know ?

I have lost two people whose input I would have greatly valued ...

One because she could not stand the fact that most people sit doe-eyed.

The other because ... well, he would not take his hat off in the room, shall we say ?

I do hear you though - ask some to "just CONSIDER another perspective" ...

... and they say, "What's a prospective?"

No, I am patient and explain, one time, and then if there is someone on the other end of the line ...

You know.

As for the seeming lack of activity, I do think there is a certain "realization" brewing out there.

REAL ID is no longer a "conspiracy theory" for instance ...

Kind of like, have you ever thrown a brick into a fan, and then watched how the fan works ?

I think you get the idea ... and I think there is more to that story we should explore.

PS is active - yes - and still running at the "Internet average" for activity ...

90% are signed on but who knows if they are even breathing, or where ?

Kinda like parkin' yer car in fronta the church then slippin' inta the bar, ya know ?

Might I add that I read Jenny to say "networks overrun by right-wingers" ...

Not necessarily the same as "conservative networks" is it ?

Yeah - what do I know ?

Put a quarter in me and maybe find out, eh ?

Don' go way with that flyswatter now, ya heah ? : )

I don't know. First, is "Rodney" the name of someone who visits here?

This afternoon I received a call from my uncle in New York who is a very wonderful person. I mentioned before about him that he still has his German accent and he is anti-Semetic. But his saving graces include his high level intelligence, his sharp humor and his genuine love of people who are not Jews.

He is about 75 years old. He is also very concerned about being monitored on the Internet by the evil power people (whoever they may be). He may not be paranoid schizophrenic as he grew up in postwar Europe when Germans were treated quite badly. His father lost everything. The entire family had to emigrate.

I told my uncle that if we think someone is monitoring our phone calls that we should enunciate more and raise our voices to make sure we are heard.

Topper, what can you turn up about my location, etc. on sitemeter? I've used Sitemeter since it started up before the turn of the century (2000).

To put it very VERY simply. There are some who absolutely need to be right. When they can't handle someone showing them something different, they become frustrated and go, or resort to adolescent internet behavior. It becomes a game rather than discussion. Then when that is noticed, they cry foul and run.

James, I also agree that some just might be realizing more, therefore finding no need to interact as much. Plus busy lives get in the way. Jenny and Bruce come to mind, though those two have always been pretty much on the same page. Because of them *I've* advanced more in my realizations (among others, like you, Dave, and Audrey. That's not everyone just off the top of my head.) I do miss their interaction GREATLY though.

Fred, we might not agree all the time, but in the end, you don't have that same need to be right. You will stick to your opinions, but you at least acknowledge other views. Otherwise you'd be one of the others who stop posting or leave.

I respect that. You are a seeker at the core. ;-)

A frybread-eatin' seeker!

As for Texas, well, pffft. These games get old really quick, and I have less tolerance for them as I want to stay on track with what is important.
