Tarun Hukku
Dear Friends,

I am truly grateful to you for all your support and encouraging words. Your endorsement has gone a long way in making people believe in my sincerity and commitment.

Lead India has raised hopes of ordinary people, students and working professionals. They are expecting me to make a change in the political system. I hope I will be able to meet their expectations.

I am planning to take this movement forward and am working on a "National Leadership" program with colleges and working professionals by meeting them physically & electronically. By the end of the year 2 (just before 2009 elections) I plan to have 1 Crore students/working professionals whose opinion and support can be sought by the click of a button.

These will be the people who are educated and concerned about this nation and would like to make a difference, but have no means to express their preferences/choices as they are not the obvious vote bank for any political party and do not even vote as they are fed-up with the system.

These 1 Crore people will influence at least 4 Crore more (2 parents and 2 siblings at least) and that will make them important for politicians and make them count in the matters of policy/polity.

This is an ambitious program and I need your blessings and support. I will stick by my promise to change the polity of this nation in the next 12 years - by 2020. I am a man in a hurry!

I need your thoughts and advice on the above.

Regards,

R K Misra

Dear Misra:

First of all, accept our congratulations in winning the Lead India campaign. Though I tried many times to watch this show, but my heavy travel kept me away from this. However, I forced myself the cancel all my travel plans to watch the finals and was happy to see you winning the event.

For your info, both myself and my wife Vasumathi are deeply involved in upliftment of the community, education system, orientation to youth etc. Besides being a strong lover of nature & wildlife, we spend a lot of our personal time in improving the quality of life for individuals.

Given this background, we would be glad to know your plan and would be happy to be associated in making a difference in this part of the world.

Dear Mr.Mishra,
First of all, A Warm Congratulations . I was unfortunate to see the finals of LEAD INDIA, but never the less I was quite lucky to meet you on E-Summit,2008 at IIT,Bombay the very next day.
After hearing your speech at the Seminar, I was quite inspired and somehow the small dream or thought which was there in my mind from quite couple of years came alive.
I know you don't seem to be so much impressed by the IT industry and everywhere there is so much roar! of Software and IT but there is a little different view from my side to the perspective of changing life of the people staying in Rural Areas with the help of this industry.I think that we can change life of the people by simply making all the things accessible to them quite easily and effectively and there where IT comes .
To give an small Example ITC started with a campaign at panchayat level in many villages to connect them with the market through computers so that Farmers know what prices are going currently in Market and they can act accordingly, for this initiative ITC was awarded.
So not offending your views and your work just in case If you need any help from IT sector and from Mumbai , I will be grateful to help.So please take my support to change India for better tommorow.
Thanks

RK Misra, many many congratulations on winning the Lead India contest, and i join Tarun in welcoming you to BBN.

Probably what you mean by the 'influencing factor' is what i understand as 'trickle effect',am i right, how effective would that be in such a large country as our's.

I recall a incident maybe around 3 years ago, media was interviewing Sitaram yechuri, communist leader, think it was Dr Kalam's second time running for the post, media was pointing out to Yechuri that Bloggers and ppl connected to Net were favouring Dr kalam for the second term, would his party support that,he in all earnestness pointed out that, the ppl involved with Net politics all over the nation is far less in number compared to the ppl participating/voting in a corporation election, meaning ppl associated with internet, blogs, ppl participating through sms polls, etc etc, cant really make any difference to change the destiny of our country.

I mean ppl should actively/physically participate in politics, only then will there be a change,no arm chair discussion will help.

I am ready to join.

My best wishes on your endeavour Misra even if in the thick of things and busy schedule, you forget to involve me,not a problem,i would join you enroute, somewhere, sometime.

Dear RK Misra

I have been following the Lead India Campaign thoroughly since Day 1. You have been very impressive throughout the event. There is a lot to do and the first step is the "AWARNESS" and to create it,it requires a focussed approach with a single mind.I feel this you have shown through your action and words. We have to continue to create such campaigns and create a better and a stronger nation.

Kudos! to your effort and let us work towards a better India!.
