Since we now have the ability to do sticky posts, thought I'd create one where DL members could each post their own business' or business' that they come across that other members might be interested in knowing about. Anyone with a business can still do individual advertising posts once a week.

So please post away!!

I run a local group for Pit Bulls, Shepherds and Rottweilers, based in Montgomery County Maryland

Pit Bulls & Shepherds of Montgomery County Maryland

http://adultadd.meetup.com/87/

Not exactly a business, but a resource for Marylanders who have these dogs and need the support

Thankfully Montgomery County recognizes that breed-specific legislation is not the way to deal with these dogs, but rather to focus the blame and punishment where it belongs: on backyard "breeders" and owners who do not properly train these intelligent, eager to please breeds. We have seen what happens when they are trained to fight, have no training, are left to their own devices . . .

My business is creating fund-raisers for pet rescues (dog and cat currently) AND awareness raisers for adoption, spay/neuter and volunteerism at our neighborhood shelters.

The first product available is the "Barker's Dozen Friendship Greeting Card" Pack.

Each pack consists of 13 hilarious and heartfelt cards plus envelopes. Then we snuggle in information about adoption, spay, neuter ... There is an excellent piece from the Humane Society that I am hoping to get the nod on including called "Please Don't Breed Annie." Click here to open that pdf and keep it handy to hand out to friends and neighbors.
http://www.animalsheltering.org/resource_library/magazine_articles/jul_aug_1996/dont_breed_annie.pdf

This is currently being sold through my local SPCA, through their eBay store and I staffed a Pet Expo in Richmond to sell them as a fund-raiser for the Humane Society.

Wish me luck ... this week I am contacting some larger foundations and looking to get at least a couple solid partners to help move sales across the internet ...

Hi,

We run a business dedicated to keeping dogs protected through the use of dog tags with a toll-free # and Amber Alerts for dogs (We call them Castaway Alerts). Rather than explain further, please drop on by and get your dog registered. At the very least, please become an affiliate so you can receive E-mail alerts of dogs lost in your area. We are at:

www.k9castaway.com

Oh, and if you register, put RYZE in the promo code section and we will make sure we feature your dog on the home page and give you a lifetime membership.

Hope to see you there!

Todd

Hello dog lovers! Cat lovers too!

I’m an Independent Field Representative with HealthyPetNet and want to take advantage of Marla’s new Post and Find a Dog friendly product invitation to tell you about my company and products. Thanks Marla!

I joined HealthyPetNet simply because my purpose in life is to improve the world by enhancing the life and surroundings of animals and mankind. HealthyPetNet’s products are certainly enhancing the lives of my own animals! I have two yellow labs, Harley and Cody and two cats, Rocky and Simba. My labs have had histories of digestive upset and Simba and Rocky have had histories of dry skin and dandruff. Since eating these new foods Harley and Cody no longer have digestive upset and have more energy. It is such a relief to know my dogs are getting complete nutrition and their “tummy troubles” are gone. They also have very soft and shiny coats. Simba and Rocky also have nice shiny coats and are free of dandruff and dry skin.

What makes HealthyPetNet’s products special and sets them apart? First, everything is made from the same foods that you and I eat. There’s absolutely nothing in the delicious foods, treats, and supplements that was left-over or thrown away from the manufacture of people products. The foods are made fresh every week and shipped right to your door before the food is even six weeks old. HealthyPetNet has the most stringent quality control: right after manufacture, the products are delivered by climate controlled trucks to HealthyPetNet’s own warehouses. From there they are shipped right to you. Did you know that most other pet foods are delivered to huge national warehouses and the pet food companies that made the foods have no control over what happens to their products? Are those products kept too hot or too cold? What kind of pest control products or insecticides may be used around the products? How long do they sit before they are put out on store shelves?

You can watch ‘Do Your Really Know What’s in Your Pet’s Food’ on my web site home page to learn about common pet industry practices and how HealthyPetNet is different.
One person stands behind HealthyPetNet’s products and that is our veterinarian and product formulator, Dr. Jane Bicks. Dr. Jane is a nationally recognized holistic veterinarian. She takes questions from people around the nation on her weekly call on Thursday evenings at 8:30 P.M. Eastern Standard Time. Dial 1.712.580.0380 and press code 626116#. If you have a question, Dr. Jane will answer it. And you can listen while Dr. Jane talks about how and why she creates her products in the way that she does. Please join us. (Occasionally, if it’s a holiday or if Dr. Jane is traveling, the call will not take place. Just tune in next week!)

Please visit my web site http://www.NutritionForCritters.com and if you would like a sample of our food for your pet just let me know and I will send it to you absolutely free.

Sincerely,
Beth Sponseller

Good Morning All,

I love learning and visiting other dog related online businesses. This is a terrific thread.

My dog bakery, The Gourmet Dog Bakery offers healthy dog treats with emphasis on low-fat, low-glycemic vegetables and fruits. We are reorganizing our focus on treats that are very healthy and low-fat for all dogs. By using the needs of diabetic, pancretitis and allergic dogs, we have developed recipes that are good for all dogs and optimizes their systems. We will be moving it over to a new site at http://www.FuzzyButtsBakery.com. We are still working on the color scheme and the blog but it is fully functional. We felt that our fuzzy children needed low-fat treats with no preservatives, no by-projects, no garlic (fresh herbs instead) and no added salt.

Do you purchase cake mixes at the grocery store so that you can have a fresh cake for your family? This is exactly what the Fuzzy Butts Bakery will be offering but in dog treats. We will have proven pre-mixes of low-fat dog treats and you just have to add several wet ingredients at a very low price. We are glad to finally be able to offer these pre-mixes based on our customer feedback.

We will be showcasing a monthly dog show on our Fuzzy Butts Bakery website. Photos will be submitted directly by the submitter and a package of our bakery treats will be mailed to each entry. Look for the dog show gallery this May 1st and submit your favorite photo.

Have a BARKING good week!
Pam
