I am coming back to this network after a very long time indeed...
well i am in the Real Estate Business for quite some time now, yet there so many things in this field - legalities - that i understand only partially, i may understand its gist yet i donot understand it fully.
so i would like to ask my lawyer friends about some of these technicalities, i'll start with what is the difference between: a.lease b.leave n license c.rent d.any other term - if there is any...

Lease is for a fixed period & the terms & conditions can't be unilaterally changed by the lessor during the terms of the but rental/tenancy is on an ongoing basis & terms & conditions might be changed by the property owner(landlady/landlord) anytime by giving a 30 day notice.
A Leave & License agreement permits occupancy for a specific timeframe ranging between 11 months and 33 months. Should the licencee refuse to vacate, the matter can be brought before the Competent Authority who will then take action. whereas under tenancy the tenanants often refuse to vacate and claim tenancy rights. If the matter is taken to court, it can be dragged on for years.
