I am curious what this has to do with the network subject? Is it cultural that people in India just ignore the rules? Why do you think you have the right to Spam this network?

Is it just me; Or is some-one becoming authoritative since they moved uptown? ( and with a patio, yet).

Anyway ...... You really wouldn't want to disagree with a face like that. Would you?

Bestest.

Hi Guys,

Scott, I'm upset that an experienced Ryzer like you has posted a generalized statement like you did.

I'm sure its because you were quite upset, but to generally criticize 'People from India' as being culturally inclined to break rules is offensive.

I do really believe that there are as many people in the USA who break rules as well.

The USA being continent while India being a sub-continent logically the number of such people should be greater in the USA than in India.

I believe that you will find such people in every country of the world.

What make the world a decent place is that for every air head that breaks rules there will be at least half a dozen people who will abide by them. As long that ratio is available, I say excellent.

I'm from India, I always read posts on this network, I've found that it has almost always educated me and I assure you I'm not culturally inclined to break rules.

Regards,

Hi Lindy,

Yes it is.

I've also communicated with Scott and Reg Charie before on a few occasions.

Why?

I suspect a story or two there. But this is probably not the place for it. If you're of a mind sometime, I'd be interested in your Story.

Cheers

Ivan,
The blatant disregard of the rules seems to come more from India than elsewhere. ON my networks it has occured quite often as it has on this network. I also have recieved spam PM's.

This is the response from one person from India when I removed their spam post.
>>We are here to get more and more clients i dont care if it seems like spaming to you.if i get clients from your network then i will stop spaming.k.bye.tc.dnt mail again ,if any work plz call me

Hi Scott,

I was sure that you were upset hence your post. I would be under the same circumstances.

If its any consolation I get about 150 / 200 spam a day, a number being bounced of US servers.

Having said that, I still stand by my 'Generalization' issue but, empathize.

Ivan,
That is email spam and if you use your own domain I can help you with that.
But this is a community.
Can you imagine if you went to a social gathering and everyone sold you?

Hi Ivan, long time no speak. All is well I trust?

I don't get much spam in here compared to what I see as moderator of SBTT.

However, I would say that 90% of it, or more, on all my networks, comes from Ryze members from India.
Perhaps they they have to be more aggressive in order to survive?

Perhaps they don't believe the word "no" exists?
I know there are times I don't.

Ivan,
Do the math. There are over 1 Billion people in India. The USA has barely 300 million. Still think it more likely that the number of idiots is greater in the USA than in India?
That being said, you are right. There are morons and rude people in every country in the world. People that ignore the rules. People that stir up trouble. People that think rules do not apply to them.
Reg has been clear about the rules for this network since the first day he created it. I know. I was there when he did. They are clearly posted. There is no excuse.
I completely understand the frustrations of both Scott and Reg. I used to run a network on Ryze and experienced what Reg is dealing with.

It is not so much frustration as it is consternation Russ.

Perhaps a mandatory government course would be a way to educate people in the "Rules of Engagement" online.

Rule #1
Read the rules.

Rule #2
Lurk for a bit and sample some of the threads.

Rule #3
Introduce yourself in a new thread.
Tell us who you are and what you do.

Rule #4
Contribute or ask a question.

Seems like four VERY reasonable rules to me. I have always tried to follow them. In that order. It has saved me from getting in trouble many times.

Hi Russ,

Long time no hear.

I've done the math actually, while India is a country of a billion or more people, not all the billions have access to the Internet.

Not all are on Ryze networks breaking rules and generally being obnoxious.

Possibly less than a million people have access to the Internet, of that a very small percentage would be on Ryze networks and an even smaller percentage would be on the 'Telling IT Straight' network being obnoxious.

The point I was trying to make is that it is considered inappropriate to generally run down the people of any specific nation over the behavior of a few on a public network in my neck of the woods.

AS a counter point I can trot out multiple instances when well educated and senior US citizens have been as obnoxious as the very best available anywhere in the world.

If the network owner and network moderators cannot appreciate this then I'm on the wrong network.

Anyways, from my side enough said.

The network moderators has indicated this is a network for 'Telling IT Straight' I shall fall in line there and stop responding to this specific thread as it is not associated with 'Telling IT Straight'.

I've said what I want to say, anything more would really make no sense.

Regards,

Ivan Bayross

Let's name the continents, since the USA is one...

1. Asia
2. Africa
3. Antartica
4. Australia
5. South America
6. Europe
7. USA

NOT

I remember in 5th grade geography, which they don't teach anymore, that it's North America. Hmmm that includes USA, Canada, Mexico and Central America. Big difference.

Nice straw man.
