Indian National Anthem is the best in the world - UNESCO
UNESCO, on this Friday, September 26,2008,announced some thing which we all knew always. Indian National Anthem is the best amongst 200 odd countries in the world. No Surprise as the Indian Anthem reflects true diversity, maturity and destiny of India and Indians! The creator of Jana-Gana-Mana, Sri Rabindra Nath Tagore (Nobel Laureate) must be smiling in Heavens today for this recognition of Indian Anthem on the world stage
Our beloved National Anthem ”Jana Gana Mana” written and composed by Sri Rabindra Nath Tagore has been chosen as the World’s Best National Anthem by UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization). It is a proud moment for all Indians across the world.
Jana Gana Mana written in Sanskritised Bengali, is the first of five stanzas of a Brahmo hymn composed and scored by Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore.
It was first sung at the Kolkata Session of the Indian National Congress,on 27 December 1911. Jana Gana Mana was officially adopted by the Constituent Assembly as the Indian national anthem on January 24, 1950. I also heard about this news and did a google search. It seems this news is only on blog sites & email forwards. I also checked official UNESCO site but did not find any such release over there.
Do you have link to any official news site that has published this?
