Hello dear ones!

I didn't get a chance to post this weekend on relaxation and self care. When we do take the time for relaxation and deeper introspection, we are then able to enter back into our world of work, family and friends with a sense of renewal...

I want to share this great message from a friend Elizabeth at http://www.elizabethbarbour.com. She always has uplifting wisdom to share! Enjoy... Diana

How do you Define Success?

I was meeting with a client a few weeks ago about her vision for her business. As we were talking about her big picture dreams, I asked her "How do you define success?" After some stilted incomplete answers, she finally looked at me and said "Gosh, I'm not sure I really know. I don't have a clear picture of it. I haven't thought about that in a while."

To be truthful, I hadn't either. In the last few weeks, I've been contemplating my own definition of success and while it's not crystal clear for me just yet, it involves loving and being loved unconditionally, following my inspiration always, and it incorporates something Gandhi once said "Happiness is when what you think, what you say and what you do are in harmony."

So I was delighted to know that the keynote speaker at the Hay House conference was Robert Holden, a success expert! I took a lot of notes during his session but one concept stood out above all the rest. "Your definition of success influences every other decision in your life."

Think about that for a minute. That's a really powerful statement. Especially if you don't have a clear idea of what success means to you.It could lead to lots of bad decisions and utter confusion and chaos! The same is true for a vision for your business and life. I coach clients all the time about what their ideal life and business looks like.

How are you impacting the world? What do you want your legacy to be? What kinds of people are you interacting with on a daily basis? Are you meeting your needs and values? Is your heart full at the end of the day? I help my clients to develop their big vision and then when they have a big decision to make, encourage them to ask themselves "Is this taking me toward my vision or away from it?" --- it's a really quick way, especially for inspired entrepreneurs with a gazillion ideas, to get a pulse on whether or not a new idea or concept is one to embrace or ignore. The same activity can be applied toward defining success.

Robert Holden asked us the following questions to get us started on our own quest for success:- What is important to me?- What do I value?- What do I choose to do?- What will I give my best time & energy to?- What do I love?- Who am I?- What is my life really for? Consider taking time out today to write in your journal and start contemplating these important questions.

They can help you clearly define success on your own terms and will help you with all future decisions you have in your business and life. You can then ask "Is this taking me toward a successful life or away from it?" and you'll know what to do.

In your down time, consider what success means to you and how that may shift things for you in your day to day lives....
