It has been a crazed several weeks for me with requests for all kinds of things, as well as and a new puppy, which is driving me nuts :)
BUT, I wanted to find out how many people are familiar with the idea of the Virtual Blog Tour as a way to promote your product or service.
About a year ago, I left a comment on the blog of a virtual assistant as part of my social networking. Lo and behold a year later, I get a request from her (Rita Cartwright) to be a stop on her Virtual Blog Tour to promote her new
e-book "On-Line Marketing Strategies for Today's Small Business." I was quite honored that she asked me to do this -- of course I said "sure."
Beyond that, however, I thought what a great marketing tool. And she made it quite easy to participate.

I apologize that I just now saw your post about the Virtual Book Tour. Actually there IS a place for comments, albeit in small print. The Virtual Book Tour blog had 1 comment. If you click on that it will lead you to another page where you can make a comment.
Actually Rita contacted me. I had left a comment on her blog about a year ago -- so she sought me out for the VBT.

That Virtual Book Tour is really quite clever. You feature her on your blog and include a link wherein interested parties can purchase her e-book. Now, that is what I call a "mutual uplift." You have become a "go-to" person for this marketing lady. We need more folks here on Ryze willing to do that sort of thing. I really believe such activity can create a wonderful "buzz for business."
