Roberta,

Just wanted to mention that I have also received those same type of emails. I even responded to one and told them I was not the one who sent it. I never received a response.

I decided that it is very likely that the "respond to" email address is also not legit. And, in fact, the whole email may be a spoof to play with your head. Anyway, I also decided that unless I receive a direct email from a legitimate person asking me to stop sending emails (SPAM) from their servers, I am not going to let it bother me and I am not going to respond to them. I also save each one of these emails that I get, so I have proof and a trail, if I need it later. So far I have gotten three of them over the last six months.

I use SpySweeper and other software to protect my PC. I also get all the updates from Microsoft. My theory is that someone harvested my email address from my website, so I went in a changed it.

I'm sure there are ways of tracking down who is using my email address, but I'm sure it would take a lot of time and expertise, which I simply do not have at this point. So, I just keep doin the best I can.

I hope this gives you some comfort that you are not alone and you are not being singled out and targeted.

Regards,
Ginny Riker
