And a Good Day to you all

Has anyone had any experience with www.onlywire.com?

It looks like it has potential but wary due to having to submit user names and passwords to them.

It seems to be safe these days, however posting the exact content to many sites may result in lower rankings on teh engines.

Pete,

What is your goal in using Onlywire? Are you trying to build up an audience of followers? If audience build-up is something you need, give Twitter.com a try. But, don't just use Twitter alone. Use some resources that add to its effectiveness - like TweetDeck and Qwitter. I would also have a blog and add Odiogo.com to it so folks with cell phones can actually listen to your blog spoken to them.

Think synergistically. Make the tools that you use work together.

I have onlywire.com on one of my sites but beyond the initial placement, haven't done anything with it. I did not provide any outside user names or passwords.

In fact, it has been so long since I added it, it would be good to have a quick refresher on what onlywire.com is all about. I know that may sound weird :)

Thanks!

Onlywire is a social bookmark submission "service" or "tool". Submits a website (article, blog post, etc.) to multiple social bookmarking directories and/or communities at once.

Onlywire has changed quite a bit lately. Can't say it's better or worse. Not as many directories/communities as I'd like .... but does make it more conveninet than hand submitting to each seperately. Just choose those you're most interested in bookmarking to ..... save them during set-up of your account ..... and each time you use it your content will be submitted automatically to that "list".

Onlywire has changed as I said .... now includes a number of different packages to choose from ..... all but 1 with a cost (goes up the more you want). The free version now requires you put their text link "ad" or button/banner tab on your website. Didn't used to.

I used to use Onlywire but haven't in some time. I now use an "Add This" feed button (for subscribers), an "Add This" bookmark button (better than Onlywire), a "Tell A Friend" button (so visitors can email the page to a "friend"), and a stand alone "Digg" tab. Works for me.

God Bless,

Michael,

There is a service called MessageDance. It may be somewhat similar to Onlywire. It's a one stop shop for sending both text and video numerous places - including Twitter, your blog and Youtube. I do not believe it is going to provide you with tracking analytics like TubeMogul, for example. But, in sending Tweets to Twitter, you are no longer limited to 140 character messages.

Check it out and let me know what you think of it here on this thread.
