Lavanya Karalkar | | Was trying to start a Fixed Deposit with ICICI as my MUmbai visit has earned a good profit and when they boast of so much service in their ads, I am not even able to get to their manager by telephone. Have sent the following mail to their Customer Relationship Manager. Let us wait and watch..
____________
Dear Mr Saha, I am amused at the ICICI advertisements which boasts of the customer satisfaction it provides. Let me tell you my experience with your 24 hours telephone service. First I ring up Chennai service at 4208800 and go through all sweetnothings by providing all the information. When it comes to provding the 12 digit account number, first when the same is provided the sweet voice will mention 'the number provided is not correct' even though it is correct and again when I provide the same, the line will get cut off. So I use all the patience I have and through some innovative trial and error methods somehow get the customer care officer who after getting all the information regarding account number, name, whether I had breakfast etc will provide the telephone of ICICI Bank, Adyar Branch, Chennai as 044 42116434 and even give the name of relationship manager as one Mr. Dasarathi. I jump happily and start dialing the number and go on dialing dialing and again call back the 24 hour tele service to find out if they can provide me with the mobile number of relationship manager and the sweet voice will make me hold for quite some time to come with the reply that they have only one number which has already been provided to me. Now what do I do, Mr. Saha? Do I go back to your TV ads where birthday of customer is celebrated, a senior citizen is made happy whereas a platformwasi citizen like me who wants to open an FD is not even able to contact manager by telephone. Pl. helpPrivate Reply to Lavanya Karalkar |

Ganesh Ram | | I think blaming the bank for a judgement one makes with an ad is the problem of the judger and not the judgee.
This the ad is not created by ICICI in the first place. The marketing person in any organization has no clue of what is the real workings of an organization, No offence meant. They, the marketing guys have one work to compete in the market and tell what all can be done with their organization. Yes exactly like how many of us, the software guys, sell our product.
The management has no clue how the inner workings of their company is. Bears and Sterns is a good example. They assumed that the securities they sold were actually AAA quality because some agency said so.
So LKg, stop blaming the bank and get to know that ads are one percent stuff and 99 percent fluff.Private Reply to Ganesh Ram |

Basab Ghosh | | You can do one of the two things:
1. Move your not inconsiderable posterior to the branch where you hold your account, plonk yourself in front of the Branch manager and say you want to open a FD. That will be sweet tidings for him (her) and (s)he will jump to get all your forms filled. (S)he may even offer you the Laddoo with a candle on top. Since Pathway inc. has been so successful, you must have more than Rs. 10 Lakhs in your account. In that case, you can demand to be recognised as a HNI customer and demand private banking facility. The Bank manager will only be too glad to give you his (her) mobile number and will also appoint a relationship manager for you (also with a mobile number) who will take care of all your future nakhRas.
2. You can log on to net banking and open a FD through it from your account. Takes a couple of minutes.Private Reply to Basab Ghosh |

Why do you want to trouble ICICI Bank and also you to deposit your money?
You can very well deposit the money with someoen who needs it like me(not necessarily me). You can be convinced that it is in safer hands and we are here to serve you at your convenience...Why not give a thought to it.......

The safest is State Small savings scheme. If you have money put it there. In case you want to buy power with the money using adds place 30 feet cut out in 30 places in the city. You can become the CM and if use your head you can also become PM if stop listening to your next friend. CEO intelligence would not take you any further, Private Reply to charu hasan |

padmanabhan ramasubban | | Dear ICICI Bank Customer Service Team,
Sorry customer service ICICI bank is really a big corporate and may be it makes sense to only service the corporates for your bottom line.
We do not deserve bad service from a bank when our own money is parked with you be it one lakh or several crores.
I just discussed ICICI bank with several friends of mine and please hold on to all your framed rules be customer unfriendly.
ICICI bank can afford to lose a few lakh customers with their own rules/attitude and let the smaller banks grow by default.
Thanks for offering to assist but it is too late now as it is case of closing the stable after horses have bolted .
Thanks & no thanks.Private Reply to padmanabhan ramasubban |

International Recruiters | | Hi,Lavanya Karalkar, This is Not only in ICICI , every Service Sector customers are facing problem. They never share the personal No of thier direct employee. Even I Had a Problem with AIRTEL. When I tried to reach the customer Care " They SAY WE ARE VERY SORRY" and executive gave the request no and said within 4 hrs your problem will solve , Cant Believe 4hrs problem they took 4 days to Solve and lastly the service executive he came did the job in 1 and 1/2 min. The beauty is that in the bill they have mentioned they have NODAL Dept and APPELLATE DEPT and both have different No. as 044-42100356 as Nodal and 044-42039583 as Appellate no , You can see the STD code as 044 which is Chennai STD Code, but when you call the call goes to Bangalore. As though AIRTEL is not getting profit in Chennai . When I called to both is No one single person is responding the call.Even you try the no mentioned in the Website no body will respond including Corporate nos.

Lavanya Karalkar | | First I have to thank ICICI customer care team in this board or whoever in the name of ICICI for atleast trying to mend the matter, But my English teacher had always tried to teach me
'a stitch in time saves nine' and here
the whole dress is torn making impossible to mend the same.
Still thanks from the interior of my heart..
For Lion who is not roaring is advised to roar through these sites where the email ids of nodal as well as appellate officers of bharti Airtel could be found. You can also write a letter to TRAI, though they may not take up the matter, however the same would be discussed in the TRAI meetings held with all telecom service providers.
You can visit this site to find out nodal officer for Bharti Airtel http://www.trai.gov.in/sp/AIRTEL.pdf
You can also visit TRAI site to get all the details
http://www.trai.gov.in/serviceproviderslist.asp Wish you all the best

I have solved my matter by knocking the Airtel Chairman's Office .Even on Sunday (which is regular Holiday)my problem was solved
About ICICI , If you want to Solve your problem , Then raise Complain to ICICI CEO level ,your problem is solved in no time .
Always give a request to the Customer Care and get the reference no , then direct hit to the chairman or CEO level. Private Reply to International Recruiters |

Lavanya Karalkar | | dear LION,
Congrats.. But my approach is little different. I not only want to solve my problems but while doing so make it known to so many departments that problems faced by others too may be solved.
Why I told you to take up with TRAI is that such problems would be discussed in the TRAI meetings with service providers and then once the service providers come to know that TRAI is taking up for discussions then they try to avoid such complaints. I will ask Sushi to write about how she involved officers from the level DE Chennai Telephones upto the lever of Director TRAI and registering her complain in PG Portal as well as application thru RTI for settling her deactivation of Mobile backup.
finally being a CEO myself, i would never forgive anyone spoiling my Sunday. CEO's are meant for decision making and smooth running of the organisation and not for listening to petty complaints na? Please don't mistake me..I am categorizing your complaint as trivial - just a slip of tongue from the heart. Private Reply to Lavanya Karalkar |

SOEB FATEHI | | Beggar who gave alms to the poor 27 Jun, 2010 0036hrs IST TNN[ Radha Sharma ]
AHMEDABAD: A beggar on Saturday proved that charity only needs a big heart rather than deep pockets. Khimjibhai Prajapati, 64 and a beggar in Mehsana for a decade, donated clothes to 11 poor hearing and speech-impaired girls at the Shrimati Kesarbai Kilachand School for the Deaf.
Rich philanthropists have been a more common sight but it was the first time ever that a beggar had walked into the school to share his savings. It was an unusual sight. An unkempt Khimjibhai in tattered, unwashed clothes, limped through the school gates on crutches and placed the brand new clothes in the hands of 11 eager girls. He had used his savings of Rs 3,000 to buy the clothes.
Khimjibhai begs outside the Simandhar Swami Jain Temple in Mehsana and outside the Hanuman Temple. He lives nearby and asks the devotees for alms.
So why did he give alms to the unfortunate children at the school? Khimjibhai said, "I just need two meals a day and some money to send back to my ailing wife in Rajkot to cure her ulcers and lung infection. Apart from this, whatever I earn I use to buy food for poor, hungry people. Since a long time I wished to do something for girls and I am happy to donate for them".
Khimjibhai used to run a tea stall in Rajkot but escalating prices and shrinking profit margins wreaked huge losses and left him on the streets.
His faith in God brought him to Mehsana where he took shelter outside the Jain temple. "Whether rich or poor, one should always try to help the needy," he says. Khimjibhai helped an orphanned girl marry some time ago.
Bharat Shah, a trustee of the institution that runs the school, said, "I have never seen such philanthropy in the 35 years of career. He just goes on to prove that the true donor is he who has one roti and shares half with the hungry."
One of those who received clothes was Swati Bhagwandas, an orphan who has been at the residential school for years. The 18-year old's eyes shone with happiness.
