Thanks Ginger - I checked this link but this company only provides software to print them. I need to find the agency that you actually get the codes from. If you know where that is I'd love to know! Thanks :)

Wendy,
Perhaps this is what you are looking for then:

UPCs originate with a company called the Uniform Code Council (UCC). A manufacturer applies to the UCC for permission to enter the UPC system. The manufacturer pays an annual fee for the privilege. In return, the UCC issues the manufacturer a six-digit manufacturer identification number and provides guidelines on how to use it

Us "dog people" have to stick together! I have two black lab x's and they are my 4 legged kids! A friend of mine runs a "doggy daycare" and twice a week we take about 6 of her dogs and my 2 and walk along the local dyke, trails or riverbanks for about 3 hours! It's one of the best parts of my week.

Have a grateful day,

It looks like you like dogs. Could that be true? ;)

I noted the reason you needed a UPC code was for a client work book. I have experience putting together manuals. I have done HR, Policy & Procedures & Employee manuals for medical facilities. One was for a hospital that was preparing for a JACHO audit.

I also designed and maintain web sites. Check out my work at caregiverscrubs.com and my business site at http://geocities.com/flsra/

Perhaps I could assist you sometime. Anyway, I am here if you need me.

Ginger - thank you so much. I will definitely keep you in mind for future projects. Putting together workbooks of other people's work isn't what I'm best at, so having your help would be ideal. This client already has the book ready except she didn't realize she needed an ISBN and UPC to sell the book online and in bookstores.

Thanks again - have a wonderful day,
