I love the conversations here on this group. I've solicited ideas once and was thrilled with the input I received.

So, here's my next question. I want to promote my ecourse. I'd love suggestions where and how to promote it.

Who is my target? Primarily women, between the ages of 30 and 60, with SOME discretionary income. The ecourse is geared to those who are beginners to scrapbooking, so with the above criteria, I'm searching for those who might want to learn scrapbooking.

So, let's hear some creative ideas on marketing this ecourse.

TIA
Audrey :)

Couple of ideas I've seen work recently.

Create a holiday online for scrapbookers, getting other scrapbooking entrepreneurs to participate in your "Holiday Event". Thus bringing your product to the forefront and enriching the lives of everyone who scrapbooks, providing content and information for all of them.

Create an event online, conference for scrapbookers, where they can gather once a month and learn new techniques, meet other scrapbookers, and share ideas and thoughts and be introduced to your product.

Blogging for scrapbookers, give some ideas on your blog, and post them as articles leading back to your sales page, where you present your idea.

Article marketing is related to all of these.

Lots of marketing ideas online -

Hi Audrey

Audrey I suggest you write an article about scrapbooking and join Writeup and post your article there.

Writeup is a good site because they let you link back to your home page in your articles.

This gets you lots of free advertising and site visitors.

Audrey there is a link to Writeup and also some other good writing links at this page.

Audrey,

A few ideas:

- Many people are using search engines when looking for information they are interested in. I would recommend finding good scrapbooking-related keywords and then optimizing the ecourse page using these keywords to get more search engine traffic.

- Article Writing and Publishing. This is another great way to drive traffic to your web site. When you write and publish your articles, other web site owners pick them up and publish them on their web sites, while giving you a link back to your web site.

- Business Blogging. Start a blog for your business and update it on a regular basis. Make sure you have a link from your blog to your ecourse, and promote your ecourse on the blog on a regular basis.

Biana and Andy,

Thanks for your posts.

Biana, I think I'm just way too impatient :)  Thankfully I've been writing articles for many years now. However, they have all been used, meaning putting them on my site would not be "fresh" content. So, I've been trying to write one article per week for the last 2 months. So far, so good.

It was suggested in either this group or another, that I not submit those articles until the search engines have indexed that page. So, right now, they are on my site, but have not been submitted anywhere.

SEO is new to me. A helpful tip on Ryze sent me to an SEO class which I'm still in the process of completing. I am working on optimizing my pages. I'm also working on more content for the pages up and new pages to add over time.

I really do appreciate the ides and suggestions.
