The local county-wide newspaper, the Lakeport Record-Bee, on Tuesday, May 8th, ran a rather large article about this mixer. (Should the Record-Bee post the article to its web site, I will post a link.) Now, all the readers of the newspaper throughout the county are aware this mixer is taking place. One might think that would mean the turnout for the mixer will be huge. However, I have learned in that in Lake County, CA it takes more than simple news media exposure to get folks to care about attending mixers - even if attendance is free. It takes passionate people willing to spread the news.
