Kelly Powell~Watkins and Send Out Cards | | Sadly my family lost a dear brother in law last Monday. I just got back from his funeral a couple of nights ago. They lived in another part of Alaska, an hour's drive from where I live and then another hour's jet ride. He was a heavy equipment owner/operator, it was a work related accident. We are all still in shock and having a hard time accepting it, if you knew him you would know what I meant. Larger than life type of personality, everyone that knew him and met him even just once remembered him.
Generous spirit, always there to lend a helping hand, a true southern gentlemen. He moved from North Carolina and lived in Alaska for well over 40 years. He and my sister would be married for 39 years next month on my son's birthday.
This is part of the reason that I love Send Out Cards, and Kody's idea of keeping in touch with those we love and to let them know how we feel...I got cards from some SOC distributors from soccoach.com and I was touched by that. It feels like an extended family now.
Thank you for listening. Kelly Private Reply to Kelly Powell~Watkins and Send Out Cards |

LifesaBeachJournal Tell it like it is.... | | Hi Kelly
Sorry to hear the sad news. It's not easy to lose someone close to us. I feel from experience the numbness we feel is the healing process that God gives to us to help with the emotional pain. Look up and know that He is is the Great Physician. Somethings we don't understand, but I am sure we will all understand someday.
God Bless you and your family

Kelly Powell~Watkins and Send Out Cards | | Thank you to all of you that responded to this post, it happened June 11th, so it's been 3 months now. Although we are still in shock over what happened, time will help to heal the hurt. My sister is the one that I feel for, although she seems to be dealing with it remarkably well. His daughter is having a hard time though, (she's a grown woman with kids of her own) they were very close. But her 3 kids and college courses keep her busy, so I'm grateful for that. Not to mention her husband who is a great support system for her. Thanks for all the well wishes,
